Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Fabulous Read
Revisado: 02-17-23
I saw the general, but my heart aches for her. I am enthralled by this book, having her read it is a little off putting at first, but it really is an insanely amazing read. This gives an incredible insight into loss, mental illness, and toxic family dynamics. It really is heartbreaking. I think it is an important read for those who can take valuable lessons and messages from it.

Good, but could be better
Revisado: 02-24-21
I love the story but it's very rushed. There are plotlines that never come to fruition, the bonds between people are formed too quickly and unrealistically and there are quite a few plot holes that are glossed over. If you can overlook it then I would recommend. I got the next 2 hoping it would improve. It did not. Now I'm caught between a rock and a hard place because I want to know how it ends but I don't want to get any more of them....

so I really love the narrator and the storyline is good but could be better. it feels rushed and unfinished there are lines of plot that aren't followed through and I have to admit, in love lasgol is more of a girl than the girls. I really like the story line but this feels like more of an unfinished rough draft than a published work. and that makes me sad. I thought it might improve, but not really. I don't think I'll get the next one despite my deep desire to know the end.

Hopeful
Revisado: 02-23-21
Narrator was great, story was good but there was some redundancy and inconsistency from the first book. If you can get past that, and the fact that somehow nobody ever asks questions besides Lasgol and Egil, then you'll be good to go. There's more love triangles that I was expecting, I hoped for none but there are 2. But I can look past it (I think) as long as it doesn't become overdramatic. General insight. I did however see the end revelation coming from a mile away though but that may just be me.
