My heart just goes out to Agatha. How can someone with such a big giving heart keep getting jerked around. MC Beaton does a wonderful job of pulling you into the story and Penelope Keith is a talented narrator.

Love M.C. Beaton, Penelope and Agatha

M.C.Beaton is a witty author. Her characters are fallible and easy to relate to. I love how Ms. Beaton is able to flesh out each person’s strong and weak points and uses those characteristics to draw you into the story.
As far as Penelope Keith’s narrating , I think she does a wonderful job. If she doesn’t get every single accent correct ~ well gosh~ I would love to see someone who could master every single accent on the planet. Why should that even matter. She is able to do so many voice changes, it is marvelous and it makes listening to the book while I work very entertaining. So in summation, M. C.Beaton is a wonderful and gifted author and Ms. Penelope Keith is a very talented narrator.

Had really high hopes

I love mysteries and I was excited to listen to this one . The description seemed fabulous. The narrator’s voice was great. I even loved how the story started, but I listen to books for enjoyment not for a political agenda to be pushed down my throat.
So if , within the first 10 minutes of the start of a book I am having to hear the “pronoun” foolishness , I know it is time to request a refund.
