Historia
Paul Bäumer is just 19 years old when he and his classmates enlist. They are Germany’s Iron Youth who enter the war with high ideals and leave it disillusioned or dead. As Paul struggles with the realities of the man he has become, and the world to which he must return, he is led like a ghost of his former self into the war’s final hours. All Quiet is one of the greatest war novels of all time, an eloquent expression of the futility, hopelessness and irreparable losses of war.

Fantastic Read
Revisado: 09-23-22
This was such an amazing read, started and finished this audiobook in just two days. The way All Quiet on the Western Front is so brilliantly read in away that to the soldiers Melancholy during the war. Very rarely do we get the see what World War 1 was like for the common soldier in the trenches much less the Germans who are only ever seen as the villain.

Historia
The Coalition is reeling. New Vega and its other worlds have fallen beneath the boot of the newly allied Savage marines, and the death count continues to rise at a staggering rate. One thing is clear: The war to come will be a fight for the very survival of the species. For both sides in this conflict, now is the time to become what fate, and victory, demand. The Savages - post-human monsters who believe themselves to be gods - are intent on remaking civilization in their own violent and pathological image. Yet their alliance is tenuous.

A slow second installment
Revisado: 11-28-21
Stephen Lang does a phenomenal job with this performance, but I feel like the story lacked during the Uplifted’s first 14 chapters throwing out repetition, and think some chapters could be shorter or cut to the Legionnaires at times to change the pace, but eventually the story picked up the pace and becomes enjoyable again.

In an attempt to combat climate change, the scientists have genetically engineered an aquatic biofilm capable of generating oxygen and lowering the temperature of the underlying seawater, producing environmental conditions that awaken an organism that has lain dormant beneath the ocean floor for millions of years.

Loved this story, I feel like it’s very rare to have a story that starts from the first page that cuts between past and present. I couldn’t stop once I’d gotten started.

An important read
Revisado: 10-08-21
This is a great story and well performed. The story was tough to listen to because it doesn’t hold back on the dark history of the institution of Slavery. Every cruel detail is given, giving us (the reader) a good look at, an example of Hard History.

Historia
In Dimensions, Dr. Jacques Vallee reexamines the historical record that led to the modern UFO phenomenon and to the belief in alien contact. He then tackles the enigma of abduction reports, which come from various times and various countries, as well as the psychic and spiritual components of the contact experience. In the last portion of the book, he notes the factors that inhibit research into the phenomenon - the triple coverup and political motivations - and concludes that the extraterrestrial theory is simply not strange enough to explain the facts.

Informative
Revisado: 09-24-21
This is a pretty informative book, the author really wants the reader to ponder the concepts provided in the book. Even analyze events though a skeptic lens. Even questioning those theories also questioning if the UFOs and other paranormal events aren’t from Space like many believe.

Historia
Award-winning investigative journalist Ross Coulthart has been intrigued by UFOs since mysterious glowing lights were reported near New Zealand's Kaikoura mountains when he was a teenager. The 1978 sighting is just one of thousands since the 1940s, and yet research into UFOs is still seen as the realm of crackpots and conspiracy theorists.

Nice insightful book
Revisado: 09-17-21
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The pacing was good, and I love how the author questions things, or let’s the raw comments in interviews speak for themselves before saying what the listener is probably thinking then gives his own thoughts on the subject. And later using evidence that might show the comments as more credible than first thought. He refers to the past comment in away that lets the listener remember what was said before allowing the listener not to get lost along the way. The author’s heavy breathing between each sentence is different at first, but I got over it pretty quickly.

Historia
As President Trump’s national security advisor, John Bolton spent many of his 453 days in the room where it happened, and the facts speak for themselves. The result is one of the few White House memoirs to date by a top-level official. With almost daily access to the president, John Bolton has produced a precise rendering of his days in and around the Oval Office. What Bolton saw astonished him: a president for whom getting reelected was the only thing that mattered, even if it meant endangering or weakening the nation.

Historia
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

There was once a day I attended some courses after college. I sat for the exam, although, it wasn't my first exam experience, but I had a little hitches with memory. Trust me, memory failed me. Sincerely speaking, in whatever it is you're going as a human being, you need memory. You could record your daily activities with a perfect memory. Even your spouse won't take it lightly with you if you can't recall his/her birthday dates, phone number, as well as some basic information about your relationship. You really don't have to be a student before memory can be useful to you.

Decent Read...but
Revisado: 12-04-19
The book was ok. The concepts in the story were interesting and looked meaningful. However, It took too long for the book to actually begin and a lot of needless repetition with some words. There are some books that I feel would be better to have a hard copy of, and I think this book is one of them. I had a hard time focusing on the book. The author, in my opinion, could have put some more excitement into his reading to help draw my attention better. Overall, it was a decent book. I just think there are some areas where it could be improved.
