Wish it was longer

I wish this story as longer, there's diffidently more to explore, like I wish we'd gotten to see her family meet him. Because I know they'd have alot to say about her having a boyfriend.
And I wish the male narrator did all Aarons' lines instead of having the female narrator do some of them.

Love this book

I love this story, just wish the girl would learn when to back off and quit pushing people, and also when to speak up when weird crap happens

Good story

This was a good story, Though I don't think the Author actually lives in Michigan, as almost all of the towns they have their characters travel to are two hours from Traverse city-in opposite directions from each other.

New Narrater has wrong accent

I listened to the first few books in the series and that narrater was able to produce british accents as well as personality for the characters.
This perticular narrater has an American accent that comes out more strongly in the male characters voices.
Also there's a few instences of sentences that don't sound perticularly 1920" British such as "He don't have no motive." ? Doesn't sound right for the time.

My only problem is the fact the main character asks his supposedly famous detective friend, then spends most of the time arguing with him and thinking he's not doing it right.

Sexist book

So it's horrible and despicable for a guy to hit his wife, but ok for the huge guy she's living with to beat on his friend when he says something the guy doesn't like? Everyone acts SOO appalled when the woman gets beat, but acts like the guy just got what he deserved to get hurt. Not acceptable in my opinion. And why wasn't the woman scared the guy was willing to hit people for making him mad?

Aside from the blatant alcoholism, it was ok

The main character drinks like a fish and for some strange reason the writing style switches halfway through from fallowing the main guy pretty much exclusively to suddenly jumping all over the place. Other then that, it was ok, the narrator is good

I can't believe a Public image specialist couldn't handle a little blackmail? Not believable. I liked the first book in the series, but this one had too much angst for me, especially when they already fixed almost the exact same problems in the first two books.

Can't believe she fell in love with that A-hole!

Man was a total jerk I can't believe a supposedly smart woman fell in love with him. He was actively doing things to sabotage her career, not a story I felt good about.
