Historia
Egypt, 1926. Fiercely independent American Jane Wunderly has made up her mind: she won't be swept off her feet on a trip abroad. Despite her Aunt Millie's best efforts at meddling with her love life, the young widow would rather gaze at the Great Pyramids of Giza than into the eyes of a dashing stranger. Yet Jane's plans to remain cool and indifferent become ancient history in the company of Mr. Redvers, a roguish banker she can't quite figure out.

Excellent start to a series
Revisado: 03-05-25
I really like the story and the character so far. Do not like the narrator. she uses a silly sing song voice when voicing the main character. Really grates ear. But doesn't seem to use it when voicing other characters. Will probably skip next audio book and just read instead

Hated it and am not finishing
Revisado: 02-16-25
I usually love Carl Hiaasen's books and have listened to many. This one is just not funny although it has its moments. I found most of if just gruesome and murder is just not funny. Too many other good books to listen to to waste more time on this one. glad I didn't have to waste a credit on it

I was just bored
Revisado: 09-29-24
I forced myself to finish this. I found it just boring. Never really connected with any of the characters and there were way too many of them. The narrator did not make it any better. Bland and boring. If there is a sequel I doubt I will bother

This is one of my favorite series. This had a little twist at the end that I sort of was expecting. Would have liked a little more from her parents in the book. But this was a clever story line and I liked the way it ended. Ready to start the next one once I finish current listen!

So far I am bored to death
Revisado: 07-22-24
I did finish the book but stand by my original review. Interesting twist at end really did not change my feelings. I have been listening for what like feels like an eternity and I still have 5 hours left. Just drones on and on without anything really happening. Finally after about 3 hours the crime occurs. Struggling to finish. Love the narrator and love the previous books but this one is a snooze so far. If I manage to finish it I may re-review.
