Historia
At the heart of a bizarre planet lay the goal of every being that had ever lived.… Below average in height and unprepossessing in appearance, Nathan Brazil is an unassuming if cynical starship owner, carrying passengers and cargo for a living - hardly the sort of person to hold the fate of the entire universe in his hands. But when Nathan detours from his route to answer a distress call, a hidden stargate hurls him and his passengers to the Well World, the master control planet for the cosmos. Billions of years ago, a godlike race unlocked all the secrets of space and time and remade the universe according to their grand design.

Cant believe this is not a new book

Amazing. Thought provoking, and way ahead of its time. Some of the best SciFi I have read since I picked up Children Of Time.

He has done stories for some of my favorite podcasts and Co hosted a similar podcast a couple years back which is very similar but just a lot smarter with less of those “jokey” what was the ghost voice in this woman’s car when ever she played a certain show lol still he’s amazing and I he was always the one who made his co host funnier.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

I am officially obsessed with Time Dilation and relativity.
Revisado: 04-19-24
Honestly wasnt ready for how much I learned from this book. The Thee Body Problem trilogy was the first time an author could break down something so complicated with a simple analogy. It acted as a gate to place i never thought i was smart enough to even begin to really “understand”. I am officially fascinated with Time Dilation and relativity.

Fantasy with a slight Sci Fi edge
Revisado: 07-14-23
First of all narration was AMAZING love his voice. Second i Love how it was heavy in the fantasy lane but he sprinkled incorporated the possibility of other worlds. What if our gods were from another star system that’s been dead for centuries?

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

Top Tier Fantasy BUT Ending was disappointing
Revisado: 05-20-23
Amazing fantasy novel. I usually hate poetic and “pretty” writing, but this guy has a way with words. I will say i was expecting a lot more answers and i felt like it just ended. I was waiting for more and then all of a sudden it says “epilogue”. Hopefully the second book gives me what i’m looking for. I have an odd feeling that it was originally one book and they split into to 2. Third book has been in the making for a looooong time as well. That’s gonna be his masterpiece!
