A great sequel!
Revisado: 10-05-17
If you're thinking of buying this book, you MUST buy "intern's Handbook" first! Else you won't be in on everything going on. The author gives a general overview, but the first book is definitely entertaining. Having said that, I loved this book! Always great characters, more James Bond action (suspend your belief for a while), and plot with lots of twists. Again, great narration. Loved it!

Historia
John Lago is a very bad guy. But he’s the very best at what he does. And what he does is infiltrate top-level companies and assassinate crooked executives while disguised as an intern. Interns are invisible. That’s the secret behind HR, Inc., the elite “placement agency” that doubles as a network of assassins for hire who take down high-profile targets that wouldn’t be able to remember an intern’s name if their lives depended on it.

Revisado: 09-26-17
Would you consider the audio edition of The Intern's Handbook to be better than the print version?
I would be tempted to read ahead if I were reading the book, the audible version captures the suspense and the characters' personalities
What did you like best about this story?
The twists and turns, unpredictable. I also loved how John would give examples of his prior work and its creativity.
What about Pete Simonelli’s performance did you like?
I loved his performance! I was annoyed with him at the beginning because the voice was very conceited, bragged about everything. But as the story unfolded, I could tell the narrator started this way for reason. The development and maturing of John Lago was definitely captured in the narration.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
How would YOU kill someone who deserved it?
Any additional comments?
I enjoyed this book so very much! The description John gives of his previous assignments are so creative. I think the author has some vengeance issues.

Agatha is pregnant and works part time stocking shelves at a grocery store in a ritzy London suburb, counting down the days until her baby is due. As the hours of her shifts creep by in increasing discomfort, the one thing she looks forward to at work is catching a glimpse of Meghan, the effortlessly chic customer whose elegant lifestyle dazzles her. Meghan has it all: two perfect children, a handsome husband, a happy marriage, and a stylish group of friends, and she writes perfectly droll confessional posts on her popular parenting blog.

Revisado: 09-05-17
Where does The Secrets She Keeps rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top five for sure. This was an intense listen, hard to stop. Awesome characters, a few surprises,I found myself wishing for a happy ending for everybody because they all were so likable and kind of pitiful at the same time.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Agatha! I just love a book about a crazy lady, and she fits the bill very nicely.
Which scene was your favorite?
Too hard to choose! Maybe the end (no spoiler here), because it was just the right touch.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Don't talk to the grocery clerk!
Any additional comments?
One of the few narrators I would look for again. Perfect job, especially with women's voices. Please buy it! You won't be disappointed.

A definite addition to my top five audiobooks
Revisado: 08-14-17
What made the experience of listening to Safe with Me the most enjoyable?
The plot was original and believable. I loved each character and how the real truth about them emerges little by little. The epilogue completes the book excellently, a "happy ending" that still is a little disturbing. Each character has their own agenda and though the book drags a little in the middle, the reader can look back and see the reason for all the build-up.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Of course Anna - she was so well-meaning but crazy as a loon. And blamed everything that happened due to her own actions on other people and circumstances
Have you listened to any of Lucy Price-Lewis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I usually don't buy a book based on the narrator except when they are horrible. If I notice she narrates a book I'm interested in, I'd definitely buy it. She was wonderful, not over the top but still easily recognizable when she changed characters.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I didn't really have an extreme reaction to the book entirely, but when Anna says to herself "I'm really not one to meddle in other's people affairs" (or something like that), I thought I'd fall out of my seat laughing.
Any additional comments?
Definitely going to find another book by this author.. This one was worth a credit!

Great suspense, but with an unusual backstory
Revisado: 08-07-17
If you could sum up Stillhouse Lake in three words, what would they be?
Challenging (because of the nature of the main character's background, really made me think about "the other victim"); Suspense (of course), Surprises (just when you think you have it all figured out)
What was one of the most memorable moments of Stillhouse Lake?
When Gwen visits her husband in jail. Really creepy.
Which scene was your favorite?
I didn't have a favorite scene, though Rachel Caine writes so well, I could see in mind's eye what she was describing.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Escaping Your Past
Any additional comments?
The narrator was good, but she made the Hispanic man sound like speedy gonzalez. It must have been a difficult book to read out loud, I kept hoping she would read faster in the suspenseful parts!

Revisado: 07-24-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Dead Lawyers Tell No Tales to be better than the print version?
I didn't buy the print
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dead Lawyers Tell No Tales?
Don't want to be a spoiler, but I'm really into courtroom scenes.
What about Joey Collins’s performance did you like?
He did a good job. The performance parts I didn't like were the Southern accents, just being from the South, its my pet peeve. However, his performance still was good and he did a nice job differentiating between the genders without being too obvious.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not really
Any additional comments?
I enjoy the Christian aspect to Randy Singer's novels, to me, they give the reader another layer of reality to think about. I had predicted most of it until the end but there was a little surprise. This book wasn't as good as Singer's novel The Judge, but it was enjoyable. The first three hours are really slow, I was having my doubts if I could stick with it, but it was worth it.

Who has the best God?
Revisado: 07-17-17
If you could sum up The Judge in three words, what would they be?
Provocative, relevant, action
What did you like best about this story?
What didn't I like? The beginning was intriguing, the middle was exciting and relevant, and the end surprised me (I was sure I had it figured out). The issue of religion was handled wonderfully, and the characters were all so true to their beliefs. Just a wonderful story.
Which character – as performed by John McLain – was your favorite?
Nikki absolutely. The author was right on with her somewhat self-centered 20-something, no real point in life but having a good time. She's "forced" to learn from her mentor, but turns out to be smarter than she thinks. And BTW, John McLain was really good.
If you could rename The Judge, what would you call it?
Maybe "Too Much Reality" ?
Any additional comments?
This book has it all - interesting premise, religious debates, awesome characters, surprises, and a little brain work to keep up with all the codes that were solved. This author did an enormous amount of research for this book, with religion, code breaking and pop culture all very thoroughly covered. Looking forward to another Randy Singer!

Great twists and turns
Revisado: 06-20-17
What made the experience of listening to The Memory Watcher the most enjoyable?
Several things. The story itself was very entertaining, just when I thought the plot was predictable, the author would strike with a "wow" moment. The narrators were excellent, not distracting, letting the story and characters speak for themselves.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved how the characters intertwined with each other. The situation at the beginning took a little stab at social media - very believable.
Which character – as performed by Sally Vahle and Morgan Laure – was your favorite?
Both narrators were great. I liked Daphne, I think everybody thought she was just a typical rich and beautiful girl, but she proved them wrong. Autumn was a great character too, just kooky enough.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Absolutely. The twist where someone got killed (no spoilers here!) was a total surprise for me, though I cheered when it happened!
Any additional comments?
This book started strong, got a little bogged down about 3/4's a way through, then wowed me with the end. I think the author had a real original plot, and would definitely buy another book from her.

Be careful driving! Last hour is a snoozefest
Revisado: 05-23-17
What did you love best about Somebody I Used to Know?
The initial premise was really interesting, something new. The last hour was predictable and to me, lost the "action" of the first part. As with most books of this genre, you do have to roll your eyes and say "on please" at some parts. But overall, it was worth a credit.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Somebody I Used to Know?
Hard question. The first chapter, that set up the entire book, was the most memorable, and set up the rest of the book in an exciting way.
What about Andy Paris’s performance did you like?
Mostly good, except when the police detective sounded just like Batman (Val Kilmer or Michael Keaton, take your pick).
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Nothing extreme. Just a regular book.
Any additional comments?
Worth a credit. I probably won't buy another book by this author. Again, too much predictability at the end. Somebody needed to die, that would have made a much more interesting ending.

WOW! I found a new author I like!
Revisado: 05-16-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely. The story is hard to put down (turn off?). Lots of surprises, great characters, super ending.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hard to say. Lily, Carla and Ed are all interesting. The way the author has Carla grow up was especially enjoyable to me.
Which character – as performed by Rosalyn Landor – was your favorite?
I really liked Carla, who the narrator started as a little girl and into being an adult. Terrific narration. I figured it was two different narrators doing the women in the story, but just Rosalyn Landor. She's worth looking at again.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
YES. I listen while I drive (about 30 hours a week), and this is only the third time I kept listening to the book after leaving the car. It really is good.
Any additional comments?
Really different plot, great characters, twists and turns. What's not to love?
