Historia
Once a brilliant scientist, Griffin has been gradually consumed by his research. When he finally achieves his goal, the final result is his departure from humanity. He feels no remorse in using his invisibility to gratify his increasing desires. As he gradually loses his mind, it is hard to determine if it is a result of his chemical concoction, or just a continuation of his moral decline.

Great story
Revisado: 03-24-25
Lovely narration for a fun story, old timey slang is used to fit the period it's written in but it's easily understandable.

Historia
A disturbing tale of a young man's uncanny ability to remain both young and beautiful while descending into a life of heartless debauchery, The Picture of Dorian Gray was considered proof of both Wilde's genius and his perversion. Oscar Wilde's scandalous best seller of 1891 was one of the most damning pieces of evidence used against him in the trial that brought about his downfall.

Slog fest of a book
Revisado: 08-23-24
The narrator did an excellent job, but the book itself is terrible.
I was tempted several times to quit the book but I wanted to give it a fair chance, however I found that it's unfortunately just a slow and needlessly wordy book. At least half of the novel doesn't need to exist, it's just long winded descriptions for the sake of putting more words to paper. There's the romantization of suicide and sprinkling of misogyny in the first half of the book.
I went into the book with high hopes and left deeply disappointed, I'm honestly unsure how it's a classic.
