Historia
Raised in the wilderness by her late great-uncle, Vida is a young woman with an almost preternatural affinity for nature, especially for the wolves that also call the forested mountains home. Formed by hard experience, by love and loss, and by the prophecies of a fortuneteller, Vida just wants peace. If only nearby Kettleton County didn’t cast such a dark shadow.

A novel that delves into ethics
Revisado: 10-24-24
A lovely story about people that melds with important issues of our time without being preachy or overbearing. It is just a story of their lives, loves and losses, and their inevitable impacts on their home.
A true gem of a story.

Historia
After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

In the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump and many around him, including certain other elected Republican officials, intentionally breached their oath to the Constitution: they ignored the rulings of dozens of courts, plotted to overturn a lawful election, and provoked a violent attack on our Capitol.

Profound
Revisado: 01-10-24
Hearing the words in Liz, Cheney‘s voice contributed depth of meaning to this in-depth account of the force behind the Jan 6 attack on our capital and why not just Donald Trump but others we elect and pay to manage the business and laws of our country present a clear and present danger to our country, constitution and way of life. One of the things I love best about this country is that I can say all that, Liz, Cheney can write this book, we can basically say whatever we want without fear of consequences from our government. I wonder if those who would seek to destroy our constitution with all the subsequent implications for our freedom have any clear understanding of how it will affect them and the ones they love.
Many thanks to Liz Cheney for her bravery courage and honor.

Historia
It’s the house of their dreams. Former marine Harry and his wife, Sasha, have packed up their life and their golden retriever, Dash, and fled the corporate rat race to live off the land in rural Idaho. Their breathtaking new home sits on more than forty acres of meadow, aspen trees, and pine forest in the Teton Valley. Even if their friends and family think it’s a strange choice for an up-and-coming pair of urban professionals, Harry and Sasha couldn’t be happier about the future they’re building, all by their lonesome.

Historia
In 2008, nine mountaineers failed to return from a winter backpacking trip in the New Mexico mountains. At their final campsite, searchers found a bizarre scene: something had appeared at the door of their tent so terrifying that it impelled them to slash their way out and flee barefoot to certain death in a blizzard. Despite a diligent search, only six bodies were found, two violently crushed and inexplicably missing their eyes. The case, given the code name “Dead Mountain” by the FBI, was never solved. Now, two more bodies from the lost expedition are unexpectedly discovered in a cave.

Usually I would leave a five star review for a great piece of literature. This is a great piece of sci-fi! Basically, I’m leaving this review to counter previous ones that mention it was boring or had too much religion in the story.
Seriously???
If you like, sci-fi that induces serious thought through telling a highly original, and intriguing story, read or listen to this book!

This is a thought provoking story.
Basically, I think, is the question can a human ever truly understand someone or something other than themselves? Put in the context of storytelling rather than just discussion makes the concepts come to life.

An excellent story
Revisado: 10-22-22
With a very simple style, the author shares the lore, myths and the culture of family of the first peoples
of Australia. The flaws of racism are layed out raw and bare. This should be a required reading book.
