Books and Authors mentioned: A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles M. Schulz [based on Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz]

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½🪦🤠👢🐎📚🎄

My thoughts: This combines all of the storylines of the previous books to give you the big why, however, it's very inconsistent. Bethany is wearing a Baby's First Christmas but she was born in September and Huxley was at that Christmas. It's just all over the place and the romance portion was nonexistent and forced.

Recommend to others: Sure. It's a good plot, it's just the details that didn't align.

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️❄️☃️⛷️🤠👢🎄

My thoughts: I had to play this one twice, as I nodded off, but I made it. This plot was a little off but she made it work. The past summary sounded more interesting than the plot though. I guess the rest of the series is Christmas.

Recommend to others: It's a quick one but it seemed incomplete.

Books and Authors mentioned: A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin, He's Just Not That Into You by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo, Fifty Shades of Grey Series by E. L. James, Crossing to Safety by Wallace Stegner

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½👩‍🏫🤰🤱

My thoughts: Instead of 3 books in 10 hours, it's 4. I will never put off reading expiring titles again. I'm starting to think all 4 of these sisters are pushovers like their mom. This story was inconsistently set during and after the events of the previous book, especially since it started in October and ended shortly after Christmas, but this book starts in April so it could only be after the previous book, but they tried to make it simultaneous off and on. The story seemed very rushed, and the thing with the sister made little sense. I didn't see her reasoning. Then, not even her niece who is in her class visited her. It seemed like the author forgot about her family at one point.

Recommend to others: Maybe; it was a decent story.

Books and Authors mentioned: Plato, Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery,

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½🤠👢💔🐴🐎

My thoughts: So I have 10 hours to read 3 books. I'm up for the challenge. It's been over a year since I read Book 1, but that's fine with me as these are different characters, I did remember the sister and dad's story from Book 1 as it was mentioned. Anyway, this was a decent story; it has a nice plot about a split but doesn't get into a lot of emotional details, so it was just okay for me. On to Book 3

Recommend to others: Sure. It's a typical Western Romance, not very dramatic, so good for a palate cleanser.

Memorable Quotes: Promoting an addictive substance as a medication or health aid is a classic industry maneuver and should always raise eyebrows.

Rating as a movie: PG

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🚬🚭🍻💊💵

My thoughts: It took too long to get to the kids but it was very informative about drugs from recreational to pharmaceutical, and it seems like she's upset with that industry, and rightly so.

Recommend to others: Yes. You and your kids should read it.

Rating as a movie: PG

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½🍛🥞🍟

My thoughts: This book had a lot of good ideas, but overall it was a little boring. Although the exercises were slightly enjoyable I don't think mindful eating is something I would want to do all the time because I just want to enjoy my food I rarely mindlessly eat so I think I'm good.

Recommend to others: Maybe. This isn't for everyone but you may not be aware of the issue.

My rating: ⭐️⭐️📰📚🐈🐈‍⬛️

My thoughts: 📱20% 2:19:40 [21:11 from the end of] Chapter 9 - I don't like these characters, but I'm leaning towards the guy.
📱41% 4:41:26 Chapter 19 - This story is officially boring and unfunny. Every time the story starts to pick up the plot changes and we start over which makes it quite stagnant, I'm not sure I can finish this one. It took over 7 months for me to start this story, if I stop it won't get a second chance.

There's a story here but it isn't a romance or a comedy. I have had this book in my Audible Library since last summer and if it wasn't a green book it would still be there. Something about this just wasn't exciting, but since The Stand-In was so good I took a chance, I wasn't a fan of The Comeback, unfortunately, if it wasn't green it would have been a DNF. This story was boring and scattered, I did not care for any of the main characters and their only redeeming qualities was that the people around them were more dislikable. I didn’t get an emotional connection from these characters, the blurb did a better job with stalking than the story, it was forgettable. This may be my last Chu book for a while.

Recommend to others?: No, not even a little bit, it is coming to print in May 2025 so if you don't have Audible you can read it for yourself.

Songs for the soundtrack: "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan

Books and Authors mentioned: The 5 Resets: Rewire Your Brain and Body for Less Stress and More Resilience by Dr. Aditi Nerurkar; “The Summer Day” by Mary Oliver,

Memorable Quotes: If you’re struggling to change your life, achieve your goals, or feel happier, I want you to hear this: The problem isn’t you. The problem is the power you unknowingly give to other people.

The fact is, every human being is dealt a different hand in life and you can't control the cards that someone else is holding. The more time you spend staring at someone else, the more you miss the entire point in the game.
In life, you're not playing against anyone. You're playing with them. Someone will always have better cards than yours.

Any world-class card player will tell you, it's not about the hand you've been dealt. It's about how you play the hand. Winning the game of life requires you to focus on the cards you have and choosing what to do with them.

The reality is, people only change when they feel like changing.

Let adults be adults, and let your influence inspire them to change.

Let people learn from life. Don't shield them from the consequences of what they choose.

My rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟❇️

My thoughts: It is the oddest thing. I had no problem hearing Let Them when she talks about people doing things, but whatever she says Let Them Theory I heard Leapthem Theory, and I kept wondering how I missed this doctor's name. So, I had to keep reminding myself, that she's saying Let Them. I had the hardback because I did not want to rewind to dictate these quotes but I didn't read the book. I had a busy day and listened to the audio off and on throughout the day. This book was recommended to me as a green book and I am so glad I bought it. I'm going to reread it via paper but I'm also going to do a discussion on it. It's rare to read a non-fiction book you can use in a group setting. I'm passing this on to my intermediate family. I think this is my new "every year" book. This book was fantastic and truthful without being harsh.

Recommend to others: Absolutely, this is the best book I've read this year.
