Historia
In this third installment, Lumen is our focus. She is a lycanthropic wolf, shifted to human. Her perceptions are that of a wolf, and her psyche is absent of all human morals or civility. As we follow her development and integration with the rest of the Alpha Pack, we find out more about the ancient curse inflicted upon all shape shifters. With the lifting of the curse follows a multitude of ramifications, including the apparent mated status between Mathew and the now human-looking, wolf-acting, Lumen.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
If you like wolf/shifter books, this series is perfect for you!
Lumen is the third book, after Alpha Awakened and Omega Rising and continues the story of the wolves and Jacob and Allison. And now there's Lumen....
As always Payne Hawthorne writes amazing sex scenes. I also love how she creates the scene and environment and the way each of the characters have distinct personalities.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Lumen?
Lumen is funny, sexy, memorable and sad, and it's a perfect ending to a great series.
I can't pick a favorite scene because I thoroughly enjoyed the entire story, but there's a between Lumen and Matt that's hot hot hot!
What does Joshua Story bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Joshua Story is a great storyteller, I love his voices and accents, he's perfect for these books and always easy to follow and understand.

A authentic, tantalizingly sexy story.

If you could sum up Alpha Awakened in three words, what would they be?
Tantalizing, Lascivious, Authentic.
What other book might you compare Alpha Awakened to and why?
Alpha Awakened by Payne Hawthorne, is not like any other book I've read. It's an original story with strong, independent characters.
Have you listened to any of Joshua Story’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This was my first time listening to Joshua Story. I enjoyed his voice/s, which surprised me, because I usually steer clear of audio books, as the one's I've previously heard were less than impressive. This one was fantastic, and I guess that has a lot to do with the fact that I loved this story.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I enjoyed the story immensely, it's paranormal/shifter/werewolf genre.
I loved the scenes between Jacob and Allison and especially their first meeting and conversation on the plane, it was funny, interesting and there was a lot of sexual tension.
I couldn't wait for them to finally 'do it'. I absolutely loved the super HOT sex (and Jacob's self-pleasure scenes, hot, hot, hot.) The sex scenes are so well written it's hard not to feel something while you're reading them! There was a fair bit of sexual tension throughout the story too.
I really love Jacob, he's strong, sexy and oozes charm and raw sexuality.
The scenes where they're between human/werewolf form are perfectly written and I enjoyed hearing about Jacob's struggles to understand what was happening to him, and how he dealt with it.
Allison was strong, independent, sexy and not all whiny or needy like some female characters I've read about in other books (by other authors.) I really wished Allison was 'awake' more during the story, as I wanted to know more about her, although there were some clues/bits about her past, I liked hearing her 'speak' and I found even though the story was short, I missed her 'voice'.
I've never read a werewolf based story like this one before, and I found myself more and more interested in not only Jacob and Allison's story but the history of the werewolves too.
I loved the way the author went back and forth between the characters, rather than focusing on one character the whole way through. This is something I LOVE in a story. It gave a great insight into them and made me feel more connected.
Any additional comments?
I was disappointed the story ended, (not how it did, just the fact that it did end!) and I can't wait to read/hear the next book in the series. Amazing work Payne Hawthorne!
