Mind blowing book...
Revisado: 03-13-24
I really enjoyed the book. I listened to it on audible and would recommend following along the companion PDF. I would also recommend having a Hebrew interlinear nearby. I would not recommend this book for a new believer, but once you have a good grasp in the faith and the basics of Christianity, I think understanding how to read the Bible through the lens of early Israelites and first century Jews is so important.

I went from 2D to 3D.
Revisado: 01-23-24
this book was so enriching. Each of the topics addressed give context and greater understanding to the Bible. I am reading the word in a fresh new way. They talk about it going from having one eye open to having both eyes open. it goes from a 2D feel to a richer 3D feel. I highly recommend it.

God Has a Name is a simple yet profound guide to understanding God in a new light--focusing on what God says about himself. This one shift has the potential to radically alter how you relate to God, not as a doctrine, but as a relational being who responds to you in an elastic, back-and-forth way.

Historia
Marriage is great, but it's not forever. It's until death do us part. Then come eternal rewards or regrets depending on how we spent our lives. In his latest book, Francis Chan joins together with his wife Lisa to address the question many couples wonder at the altar: "How do I have a healthy marriage?" Setting aside typical topics on marriage, Francis and Lisa dive into Scripture to understand what it means to have a relationship that satisfies the deepest parts of our souls.

Historia
As the culture changes all around us, it is no longer possible to pretend that we are a moral majority. That may be bad news for America, but it can be good news for the church. What's needed now, in shifting times, is neither a doubling down on the status quo nor a pullback into isolation. Instead we need a church that speaks to social and political issues with a bigger vision in mind: that of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Historia
Few subjects are as compelling-or as endlessly variable-as love and marriage. The Bible is filled with references to husbands and wives, from the story of Adam and Eve to advice in the New Testament, each open to interpretation. In The Meaning of Marriage, Timothy Keller, pastor of New York's Redeemer Presbyterian Church and bestselling author of The Reason for God, uses the scriptures as his guide to show readers what God's call to marriage is, and why this is such a powerful call.

I mean, it's not like watching the housewives of Atlanta and doing the opposite, but it'll do. 😉
