Historia
Robert is a disillusioned reporter; Rachel an agent for Mossad. Modeled on the Song of Solomon, Black Dove explores the intricate interconnectedness between love and war, violence and friendship, and the complicated relationship between the United States and Israel. When Robert moves to Jerusalem to chase his beloved, he finds that changing addressees changes something within him, and he abandons the role of disinterested observer to aid in the transformation of the Middle East, and the United States. But what he discovers is that Mossad is actually working against a Jewish-only state, and that to aid the Palestinian people they must subvert parts of their own government.

Could use some editing.
Revisado: 02-08-19
I though this was OK. The story felt very fragmented. I also wish there was more detail about the different events that were happening throughout the book. A lot of that was left to the readers imagination. I realize it's the style of the story, but I thought it was too much.
The audio quality could be improved. I could hear quite a bit of background noise. Lot of sounds of most likely pages turning and an occasional beep. That didn't help anything. And at 2:17:40 the book starts playing two tracks at the same time for about 30 seconds!
The narration sounded like someone was reading a report which is something I'm not looking for.

Not for me.
Revisado: 12-05-18
I just wasn't able to get into this book. The narration was good, but the story just didn't do it for me. It failed to draw me in.
There are lots of 5 star reviews, so don't let my review dissuade you from giving it a listen.

Living and slaving in Fill City One, you get used to the smell. We call it the Everpresent Stink. But every once in a while, on a spring day with a breeze, it clears away enough to remind us that there is something more out there. Most Fillers' wildest dreams would be just to get past the walls and live in the mainland. But my dream? It’s a little bigger. I’m going to Mars.

The narration by Khristine Hvam is excellent. I loved the way she told the story.
This was a really enjoyable book. It was a lot of fun to listen to. The main character is funny, likable, and the story kept moving without any dull moments. This is my first book by Rob Dircks and I'm going to have to check out some of his other works.

Historia
Following their rampage through Southeast Asia and the Pacific in the five months after Pearl Harbor, Japanese forces moved into the Solomon Islands, intending to cut off the critical American supply line to Australia. But when they began to construct an airfield on Guadalcanal in July 1942, the Americans captured the almost completed airfield for their own strategic use. The Japanese Army countered by sending to Guadalcanal a reinforced battalion under the command of Col. Kiyonao Ichiki.

Overall I thought this was pretty good. It took a bit for the story to draw me, but WWII and Guadalcanal, you know it will be interesting. If WWII in the Pacific interests you, check this out. I listened to the Audiobook version of this book and the narration was good as well.

My kids like it
Revisado: 11-15-18
Overall I though this was pretty good. It was a nice short story that my kids enjoyed.
There were long pauses between chapters. It kind of stopped the flow of the story. My kids were wondering why the audiobook quit playing when it was just the long pause. Besides that, it was good..

Revisado: 11-13-18
First off, the voice acting by Kristin James is amazing. She did an awesome job. I hope to hear more of her work.
What a great series with a really solid story. I was originally drawn in because of the main character Afton. She is children's librarian who is also a vigilante murderess. I really enjoy strong female leads and she is a great one. I loved her sarcastic attitude and her inner battles vs herself.
All 4 books are full of action and they flow together very nicely. I highly recommend this series.

First off, Cari Scholtens does an amazing job narrating this book. She had unique voices for each character and her voice was enjoyable to listen to.
This is my first time reading a book by Greg Dragon. I really liked it. There's lots of action and adventure and keeps moving along. The ending could have been a little better, but it leads to the next book.
