It just didn't grab me.
Some authors are just better than others. This story is a run of the mill story with a weak catch.

The story was simple and the quips simpler.
The ending wasn't an ending but more a commercial break.

The series has run it's course. I found this book tedious. Possible because I'd listened to the whole series in succession but this story just wasn't believable

Historia
Belfast, 1985. Amid the Troubles, Detective Sean Duffy, a Catholic cop in the Protestant Royal Ulster Constabulary, struggles with burnout as he investigates a brutal double murder and suicide. Historia
Northern Ireland, spring 1981. Hunger strikes, riots, power cuts, a homophobic serial killer with a penchant for opera, and a young woman’s suicide that may yet turn out to be murder: on the surface, the events are unconnected, but then things—and people—aren’t always what they seem. Detective Sergeant Duffy is the man tasked with trying to get to the bottom of it all. It’s no easy job—especially when it turns out that one of the victims was involved in the IRA but was last seen discussing business with someone from the loyalist Ulster Volunteer Force.

Burke is using to many words to get to the point
Revisado: 08-10-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I wouldn't. It's just to drawn out and boring. I knew the ending soon after the book began.
Has Wayfaring Stranger turned you off from other books in this genre?
Not at all. I'm a huge fan of Burke but it felt as if he has been reading his own headlines too much.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Will Patton?
yes
Was Wayfaring Stranger worth the listening time?
Not really. I looked forward to it ending
