Historia
Less than 250,000 people live in the Northern Territory, an area more than twice the size of Texas. If you want to escape from civilisation, you don’t have to go far. But you can’t outrun the heat. Every year during October and November the sweltering climate can drive people wild; they call it ‘Suicide Season’, ‘Mango Madness’ or, more plainly, ‘The Build-up’. It’s during this blistering heat that Jim O’Connell’s body is found in a creek bed, mummified and with his genitals removed.

Historia
Margaret Trudeau, former wife of Pierre Trudeau, 15th Prime Minister of Canada, mother of Justin Trudeau, Canada's current Prime Minister, and international mental health advocate, brought her intimate staged performance, Certain Woman of an Age, to the Minetta Lane Theatre, where it was recorded live for Audible Theater. In this "fearless and vulnerable" (Chicago Tribune) one-woman show, Trudeau opens up - with refreshing candor - about her extraordinary life and her encounters with some of the most important icons of our time.

Excellent narration of an Aussie murder mystery
Revisado: 05-19-15
Interested in the Australian culture in general and portrayal of Aboriginal characters in particular. Personally did not enjoy Harry's struggle with alcohol.
Narrator was very skilled in differentiating the various accents - excellent.

As the evidence stacks up against him with frightening speed, he quickly falls from his respected position to that of a criminal dragged through the tabloids.

Amusing crime court room thriller
Revisado: 05-11-15
For me the cynicism of the narrator/defender framed for murder drove my enjoyment of this book.
This was highlighted by the clever voice personalities adopted by the audio narrator. Will look for narrator again.

Historia
The Stranger appears out of nowhere, perhaps in a bar, or a parking lot, or at the grocery store. His identity is unknown. His motives are unclear. His information is undeniable. Then he whispers a few words in your ear and disappears, leaving you picking up the pieces of your shattered world. Adam Price has a lot to lose: a comfortable marriage to a beautiful woman, two wonderful sons, and all the trappings of the American Dream - a big house, a good job, a seemingly perfect life. Then he runs into the Stranger.

Powerful realistic plot but gaps
Revisado: 04-25-15
Powerful plot based on realistic family behaviour but gaps that detracted. Language and level of violence suited.
Good character narration
