Historia
Jason Bourne takes on a mission to rescue his only friend in the CIA, Martin Lindros, who disappeared in Africa while tracking shipments of yellowcake uranium. Once safely back in America, Lindros persuades Bourne to help track the money trail of terrorists buying the nuclear material in Odessa. But once there, Bourne is hampered by confusing flashbacks, and he wonders: is someone brainwashing him in order to throw him off the trail? Worse, is the man he saved in Africa really Martin Lindros?

Not like Ludlum
Revisado: 03-15-10
'I found this book difficult to get into. I finally finished it but I was disappointed in it. The plot seemed to have too many subplots and it was hard to keep track of them all.

Historia
This is the story of James Leininger, who---a little more than two weeks after his second birthday---began having blood-curdling nightmares that just would not stop. When James began screaming out recurring phrases like "Plane on fire! Little man can't get out!" the Leiningers finally admitted that they truly had to take notice.

A wonderful true life story
Revisado: 01-09-10
I had heard the Leiningers on Coast to Coast AM radio. When I discovered the book on Audible I was to get it. There was no disappointment for me. I listened with rapt attention to the book. I'm a believer in reincarnation and so I didn't have the problem with the book, having read Ian Stevenson's works on the subject. I highly recommend this book.

David Wolfe's life is approaching an exhilarating peak: he's a successful San Francisco lawyer, he's about to get married, and he's being primed for a run for Congress. But when the phone rings and he hears the voice of Hana Arif—the Palestinian woman with whom he had a secret affair in law school—he begins a completely unexpected journey. The next day, the prime minister of Israel is assassinated by a suicide bomber while visiting San Francisco; soon, Hana herself is accused of being the mastermind behind the murder. Now David faces an agonizing choice.

Excellent
Revisado: 08-21-07
This book yields enormous insight into the struggle between the Jews and Palestinians. I was impressed with Patterson's research into the problems of the Near East. I wanted to know what happened to the characters after the book ended, but I think that may have been better left to the imagination. I highly recommend this audio and the narrator, Dennis Boutsikaris, did an excellent job.

Historia
The time is 1975. The place is an unnamed city by the sea. The government has just declared a State of Emergency, in whose upheavals four strangers—a spirited widow, a young student uprooted from his idyllic hill station, and two tailors who have fled the caste violence of their native village—will be thrust together, forced to share one cramped apartment and an uncertain future.

well done but dismal
Revisado: 08-07-07
I know many have listened to this book and given it very high ratings. It wasn't until I finished it that I realized that the plot was one catastrophe after another. The characters were well developed and the writing is well deserving of three stars but I found the book generally depressing.

Historia
The global village: an intricately intertwined network of technology that binds together the world's economies, governments, and communication systems. So large, so vital, and so fragile. Now a sophisticated group is seeking to "disconnect the globe" by destroying computer grids, communications satellites, Internet cable centers, and biotech firms. Hard to do? If only that were so.

A glimpse of the future
Revisado: 01-26-07
Clarke claims in the epilog that this is not a work of science fiction but is in fact prophetic of the technology we can expect to see within the next few years, some of which has already come into being. He weaves a plot that is suspenseful and gripping. If you are interested in what the future may have in store for the world this can be an important book for you.

The new George Orwell
Revisado: 07-31-05
John Twelve Hawks has written an awesome prophetic work. Much of the technological advances in the book are already in place. If you are concerned about "living on the grid" you will find this book both confirming and worrisome. The plot is action filled and absorbing, but the real message goes far beyond the plot. I look forward to the last two books of the trilogy.

My first time for this author--I'll try some more
Revisado: 02-28-05
I found this book enjoyable. There were well-developed characters and a plot that held my interest. I didn't anticipate the ending which made it all the better. I'd say this is a worthwhile read.
