Historia
In the blink of an eye, everyone disappears. Gone. Except for the young. There are teens, but not one single adult. Just as suddenly, there are no phones, no Internet, no television. No way to get help. And no way to figure out what's happened. Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks. Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing, developing new talents - unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers - that grow stronger by the day. It's a terrifying new world.

good story. horrible narrating
Revisado: 02-13-22
I'm not sure I can get thru the first book let alone the entire series with a narrator that sounds like a nasaly Mr. Garrison from South Park when using his own voice and makes adolescent girl's voices sound like 50 year old chain smokers

bad writing. Worse narrating
Revisado: 05-14-21
this series was poorly written but what really killed it for me was the uninspired narration. a complete lack of enthusiasm along with inaccurate inflections and punctuation made this series nearly unlistenable. one other thing that annoyed me personally to no end but may not bother other readers was the narrator's pronunciation of the word "roof". it's roof, not ruff

Historia
The journey across the zombie-filled country does not get easier for the renegades. The Great Plains, the heartland of America, is now home to vast herds of the undead. These savage hordes sometimes stretch as far as the eye can see. Among them live the Azael - men who have regressed back to the bloody and chaotic roots of our collective ancestors where only the strong or the blood-thirsty survive.

meh
Revisado: 12-06-20
Repeating long back stories and droning on and on about pointless details that have little to no bearing whatsoever on the overall story made it difficult not to skip ahead at times. As there are several more books in this series I can only hope the unimaginative writing contained in book 6 was a fluke since it's doubtful that emotional investment in the characters will carry me thru another book if it's filled with the same uninspired page filling drudgery.

new narrator is brutally hard tip listen to
Revisado: 08-04-18
I could barely finish this book due to the narrator turning every male character into what sounded like sleepy dull wits and every female sounds like screachy nit picking crows. the story was also obviously rushed and poorly executed. i'm going to give it one more try with part 12 but, if it doesn't get better, I'll be done with this series
