Great continuation of a great series
Revisado: 01-02-23
I liked this book a lot more than the last one. I think it is because this one focused more on the main character. I am not a huge fan of some of the side characters.
I look forward to the next installment.

Following a mock tribunal comprised of unfeeling elder magicians, Daniel is sentenced to the bowels of Hell. What he finds there defies his wildest expectations. The prison that is Hell has long since been transformed into a series of vicious competitions pitting the prisoners against one another. The bloody debacle is broadcast live by PrisonWatch, the ruthless corporation headed by the demon emperor, Beelzebub.

Horrible
Revisado: 09-06-22
Do you like stupid main characters? Do you like them to repeat the same stupid mistakes over and over and over no matter how many people betray or hurt them? Do you like tons of chapters spent on useless info that has very little bearing in the end because the main character is just completely ignored it? If so then this book is for you. If not, avoid it like the plague.
Luke Daniels did a good job narrating as usual.

Say hello to the new and improved Clyde Hatchett...who's only a level-four nothing. He's on a (seemingly never-ending) quest to get back to his life in Glaton. And now, all that stands in his way are the Empire-hating Carchedonians, a death cult, and a traitorous party member. Oh, and a mythical city that very probably doesn't exist.

Good but flawed
Revisado: 05-25-22
I enjoy the bad guys series. However, between this book and the previous I feel like we are getting filler. Some filler is fine, but honestly both books could have been combined into one. Hopefully the next book finally has some actual progress. Also, some of the characters are starting to wear on me and hopefully will go away in a book or two. I’m ready for some of the original characters to come back.

Historia
Felix's life on Earth had become a series of dead-end jobs, ruined relationships, and rotating apartments smaller than most postage stamps. By all accounts, even his own, he was a coward. Too afraid to move forward, to take risks. Yet when given the chance to choose between risking his life or walking away from a deadly encounter, he didn't hesitate. Moments before his untimely demise, Felix was snatched from earth and thrust into a magical world known only as "The Continent". Empowered by the "System", he learns that he can strengthen himself through combat and dedication.

Revisado: 05-11-22
Overall a good book. There were a few issues with plot and such that caused me to dock one star, but nothing major. I would suggest this to anyone that likes wuxia or litrpg.

Historia
After discovering just how filled with magic, intrigue, and adventure the parahuman world of being an undead American can be, Fredrick Frankford Fletcher did exactly what was expected - he became a certified parahuman accountant. Myths and legends, as it turns out, are not so great at taking appropriate deductions and keeping their receipts, and Fred is more than happy to return to a life others view as woefully dull, expanding his accounting business to cater to various monsters.

A different type of story
Revisado: 05-07-22
While the stories and style aren’t bad, this series has a major flaw to me. This is a series of stories where the main character really doesn’t seem like a main character. Imagine a book where everyone is amazing or heroic, except the main character. Some may disagree but you could almost tell the stories without the main character.

Not quite there
Revisado: 05-05-22
I made it almost three hours in before returning. It started out with what I thought would be an interesting concept. Unfortunately the writing just didn’t hold up. It isn’t horrible, just average for a litrpg/cultivation novel.

Pretty good overall with a few annoying flaws
Revisado: 04-26-22
First the narrator. He was fine but the wrong choice for this book. Narrator has an English accent and main character is from Arkansas. Again, no slight on the narrator or his performance, but you wouldn’t get Billy Bob Thornton to narrate Dr. Who.
Next the story. I enjoyed it and liked the progression and plot. The only reason I am docking a point is the absolute stupidity of the main character. I could explain my issues in depth but don’t want to spoil the story. Fortunately I think a lot of it will be gone by book two. I will definitely be buying book two.
Overall I suggest this book. Just wince past the absolute idiocy of the main character.
Minor spoiler, but you need an example:
If you have a gun with unlimited bullets, why would you shoot something once and wait to see what happens? The first time sure, but at some point your brain has to kick in and let you know that one shot isn’t killing crap, so put multiple rounds in stuff.

Just not that good
Revisado: 04-03-22
I can’t say one specific reason why I disliked this book. The narrator isn’t bad, but not great. The main character is okay as well, but again not great. The rest of the elements came together to make something that I just didn’t like. All in all, I would say skip this one.

I enjoyed this addition. However, it was very short and does little to progress any main plots. I don’t expect every audiobook to be 20+ hours, but Back To One is less than 8. I feel it could really have used another 2-4 hours, especially at the end.

Narrator needs to improve
Revisado: 03-06-22
Overall the story was decent. It wasn’t great but it was enjoyable. The biggest issue was the narrator. He paused after most sentences and the pauses were just a little too long. To get an idea, imagine someone reading a book out loud and they have to turn the page. That was about how long the pauses often were.
