Historia
Autumn and Finn used to be inseparable. But then something changed. Or they changed. Now, they do their best to ignore each other. Autumn has her boyfriend, Jamie, and her close-knit group of friends. And Finn has become that boy at school, the one everyone wants to be around. That still doesn't stop the way Autumn feels every time she and Finn cross paths, and the growing, nagging thought that maybe things could have been different. Maybe they should be together. But come August, things will change forever.

I’m 40 and I don’t care
Revisado: 01-20-23
For someone who never had an adolescence, I read a lot of YA and this book did not disappoint me in any way. The ending is sad, but also deeply realistic. Your emotions will be all over the place in 2 minutes but the ride to me, was worth it. It does leave it hanging though…

Historia
By age thirty, Stephanie Foo was successful on paper: She had her dream job as an award-winning radio producer at This American Life and a loving boyfriend. But behind her office door, she was having panic attacks and sobbing at her desk every morning. After years of questioning what was wrong with herself, she was diagnosed with complex PTSD—a condition that occurs when trauma happens continuously, over the course of years.

The book I didn’t know I needed
Revisado: 12-08-22
Of course I had no idea what roller coaster of emotions this book would send me on. This is the only book I’ve ever taken notes on or highlighted parts that resonated. I laughed and I cried tears of joy and sadness. Most importantly I gained tools that will help me navigate my C-PTSD and how to better understand how it affects me daily. Thank you so much to the author for being so vulnerable and exposed. Sometimes you don’t know what you need, or even realize all you’ve been through, until you can empathize with someone’s pain. I honestly can’t thank you enough.
