This is one of my favorite books. I was excited to see it come out on Audiobook. However, the voices of some of the characters were disappointing. The voice of Valentina made her sound sound more like a fragile grandmother than a strong wife. Also, anytime a character such as Dodds got upset the narrator seemed to rush the pace of what they were saying which made what they had to say less realistic. I still love the story though.

Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

Mixed Feelings About This Book
Revisado: 07-27-21
If this was a first in series or stand-alone book than I would give it four stars. However, this book was based on a four book series that not only had previously been published, but was known worldwide for both the book series as well as the movies. The author apparently forgot or didn't take the time to go back and read her own book, Twilight, prior to trying to write this book. When the point is to tell the same story from the other person's perspective than the main interaction points should at least be consistent. However, they are not. This happens a lot in this book. Secondly, the voice of both Bella and Edward are written differently than in the over books leading to the characters being portrayed as trivial and two dementional. With that said, it was nice to get further insight into Edward's mindset, his interactions with his family, and to learn more about each of his family members. It was also nice to learn more about James's mindset and their hunting him.
I was surprised to learn Jake Abel narrated this story. Overall, I think he did a good job at bringing the story alive. However, based off the narration of the characters I find it unlikely that he had read the other books in the Twilight saga or seen the movies. Part of it I'm sure was based off how the author wrote the characters in this book, but Bella and Edward's "voices" seemed in great contrast to how they have been previously portrayed.
