enjoyable little listen
Revisado: 10-17-24
this is a love story made tragic because of an age gap- not because of fame! it took me awhile to figure that out. I was screaming up ways they could be together until I did I remembered earlier in the books she said she got married at 24 and it was too young. that was NOT too youg! but if she thought that there was no way she was ever going to think he was mature enough to be with her. she had doomed their relationship before it began. why she even allowed it to continue is beyond me! This was incredibly well written and the narrator was spot on. I definitely recommend it- and I'm incredibly hard to impress when it comes to my books.. so if I say one's written well then you know it's pretty good!

RACIST
Revisado: 12-23-22
I couldn't get past chapter 4. sorry but if I want to hear prejudice rants I can go find an online chat board. Good vibes only in my romance books thank you very much! 😃 It starts off great. We have a 20-something teacher who misses her family after her parents divorced and is feeling lonely and left behind after her bff starts a serious relationship. she can't decide between which parent she wants to spend Christmas with so she decides she's going to spend it by herself on a tropical island! She literally runs into a veterinarian who has his own practice named Andrew. you meet Andrew as he's going through security in the airport. it goes downhill fast. He talks about how uneasy he is anytime he's around any kind of law enforcement. That any time he sees the blue uniform he has scenes of police chasing black men, restraining and and throwing them to the ground. skip through more negative diatribe and when he talks about how people show their surprise that a black man could be a veterinarian I just had to stop listening I couldn't take it anymore.

ummm... WHERES THE SEQUEL??!
Revisado: 10-10-22
I love the book! great riding, story and suspense. kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't get anything done because I couldn't stop reading/ listening to it! it also really did point out the flaws in most marriages which I thought was really cool. I just really enjoyed this book UNTIL THE ENDING!! NOW I HAVE TO GO THE REST OF MY LIFE WITHOUT KNOWING IF ALICE AND JASON MET THEIR DEMISE AND THAT UNFRIENDLY DESERT OR we're able to have many many more years of marriageable bliss. HORRIBLE TERRIBLE AWFUL ENDING!! if you don't mind cliffhangers that will remain cliffhangers forever I would recommend it to anyone! then narrator was great

LOVED IT
Revisado: 07-31-22
I loved this book! I think the author did a wonderful job showing that someone in a wheelchair can live a life just normal as someone who doesn't. actually, they, can THRIVE and do things BETTER than people who aren't! she was able to start not one but TWO businesses! (I think the breakup artist was a business) she had bad dates, fell in love, and was on her way to marrying the love of her life. she didn't want someone's pity because she didn't pity herself, she had learned to love herself just like everyone in the world needs to. the author showed that wrapped in an adorable sweet story kudos to them!

pitiful
Revisado: 04-04-22
I really if ever take the time to leave reviews. so it's either going to be really good or really bad. this one was really bad- HORRIBLE ENDING! this has nothing to do with the review but I'm from West Virginia and I live in Bridgeport so that was really confusing! maybe she should have looked to see if there was a town called Bridgeport in West Virginia before she decided to name the town Bridgeport? I'm not going to say anything about the book itself because I don't feel like picking it apart although there's a lot to pick apart. I'm just going to say the ending was about the worst! the ending of a book is supposed to tie up all the loose ends and not leave you wondering what happened to the characters in the story. it's like a cliffhanger that you're never going to me hanging on for forever. I guess I'm just going to have to write the ending for myself. 🙄 don't waste your time. nobody wants to read a book that doesn't have a real ending. the whole book is about Sam getting into college AND THEN YOU DON'T EVEN FIND OUT IF HE GETS INTO COLLEGE!!

HE MUST HAVE RUN OUT OF TIME ON HER DEADLINE
Revisado: 02-03-22
Such a sweet story but it's ridiculous AND FRUSTRATING how she goes through the whole book telling us MOMENT by MOMENT about her first two loves, Alex & Patrick the and all we get about her one true love is one month later I met my husband. SERIOUSLY??! she truly had to have been ready to miss her deadline or the book was getting too long! I really loved her and Alex's love story, I love it when a tough guy is so in love and sweet with his woman! it's the best when it's in real life and not just a romance novel.I was hoping they would get back together especially since this is a true story. I was disappointed they didn't. . felt kind of heartbroken myself! LOL Glad they were able to remain friends. I appreciate her sharing her life with us EVEN THOUGH SHE DIDN'T SHARE HER TRUE LOVE STORY WITH US!

WORST ENDING EVER- even for a series book!
Revisado: 08-25-21
great story! had it all, mystery, action, romance, suspense.. you had a really really great book up until the end. it absolutely RUINED IT! I WISH I WOULDN'T HAVE READ/LISTEN TO THE THING! I know it's just wanting you to listen to book two in the series..BUT STILL!! 🙄 I think the author could have been a lot more descriptive throughout the book though. especially with the characters. it didn't tell us what anyone looked like at all. you can't really picture the story in your head without knowing how people look and since we don't know how to make anyone looks in this book we can't picture the story. very disappointed in that.

Historia
Every object has a ghost. There is a small yellow backpack - half unzipped, mouth yawning to the pavement, contents strewn around it (a banana, an exercise book, a pair of scissors) - abandoned on a suburban footpath. Ten feet away, the rubber stamp of tyres, resisting clamped brakes, mount the curb and cut across the path. The tracks come to an end at a crippled stop sign. The street, a tree-lined suburban road dappled in late-afternoon sunlight, is calm. But anyone walking past can feel the ghosts: the prickle on the back of their necks that tells them something happened here.

I am loyal, but I will betray you. I am strong, but I have scars. I am an angel, but the devil. I met her when I was 16 and she was a breath of fresh air. She swooped in, making me smile. But then she left, taking my next breath with her. Her smile could light up a room, making my black heart pitter patter. I found her again 10 years later, with a syringe in her arm. Blood coming from between her legs. She was broken and I was glad she was broken. She wouldn't think less of me and my damaged ways.

WORST ENDING EVER!!!
Revisado: 03-29-21
this is really a rather stupid book! I'm sorry but if the man I loved told me that he was an assassin and he sold me to the people that had completely and totally destroyed me I would have a serious problem with it. I wouldn't immediately want to have sex with him and tell him he was a good man. Even if he did love her it's quite obvious he was not a good man. he killed people for money for heaven's sake! I do love how he has such a soft spot or Aiden (I think that's his name?) 😕 it's not a horrible read if you get it for free but don't waste a credit on it. don't really like the male narrators voice either a little too gravelly but you get used to it

WOW. JUST WOW!!
Revisado: 03-29-21
I don't leave reviews unless the book WOWS me, and that is incredibly rare, I'm a tough critic! this one definitely deserves a review! I started reading about The Company backwards, when Sasha is a legend-only whispered about in awe.. I didn't realize there were books that told their story, I was SO EXCITED to read about this little girl you crippled a global organization and upset that I didn't start where I was supposed to! anywaay.. this story is sweet all the way around, even though it's centered around three cold-blooded killers. they all find a different kinds of love and deal with it in different kinds of ways-together. I love how Sasha is a badass one moment and just a sweet little girl the next. As always it leaves you on a cliffhanger that makes you want to smack JA Huss! LOL seriously though, HOW DOES SHE COME UP WITH THIS STUFF?! It must be a scary scary place inside her head.. 😳 LOL I'm just trying to figure out where I can continue Nick and Sasha's story! PLEASE KEEP ROLLING THEM OUT. J A! most of all please make sure they keep putting them on audible! I have chronic migraines and can't read anymore 😢
