Historia
Betrayed by blood... Rose through the ashes...Hell would have been more inviting than what Ole went through for five years. Trapped and betrayed, he was left for dead on the Ashen world. Through sheer drive and force of will, Ole overcame his trials. Uniting with a fallen angel, together they thrived. It wasn't until year five that they found a way home. Reunited with his lost love, and stepping onto the human realm once more. He has to remember what it's like to deal with humans. How much has he changed? How far will he go to get revenge for the brother that betrayed him?

Not quite as good as the first book. Still very good narrator.

Not quite as good as the first book. Still very good narrator. Too much focus on description of fights and random serial references at inopportune times.

Historia
First contact: the dream that became a nightmare when the first alien life encountered swarmed locust-like through the solar system. Merciless. Relentless. Unstoppable. With little hope of halting the invading forces, Earth's last, desperate roll of the die was to send out three colony ships - seeds of Earth - to different parts of the galaxy

This is a typical slow starter space opera.
Revisado: 02-10-23
Once you get all the character intro out of the way, the story begins to finally take shape and get a little interesting.
The narrator does multiple voices and a decent job of remembering which characters sound like what without much bleedover. Some of the chosen "accents" could be interpreted as "juvenile and offensive" if taken out of the context of the performance.
If you like space opera style writing such as C.J. Cherryh's Chanur series or Anne McCaffery's The Tower and The Hive series, you will probably like this series to some extent as well.

Historia
A thousand years have passed since a dragon has been seen in the world. Science and technology have replaced magic, which has dwindled until it has become little more than an element of myth and legend. There are those who still have dragon blood flowing through their veins, distant descendants of the mighty creatures of old. These rare humans have the power to cast magic, the power to heal, and the power to craft alchemical weapons capable of starting wars...or ending them.

A YA romance story with a little magic thrown in.

Ok, but predictable.
Revisado: 11-18-22
I lost interest somewhere between the second and third book due to predictable story patterns.
