I've read several of this authors books. good writer, great stories, but I was getting tired of all the endearing characters dying. glad this story changed from that formula. the characters were written in such away that their bond was quite touching. you root for their good. Good story. suspenseful & hear warming read if that can be said about a serial killer novel, it can be said about this one.

don't kill children for no literal reason!

I could forgive the slow plot. the needless existential discussion for no reason. but I can't forgive the sadistic murder of a small child 50 chapters into the story. We know he's a serial clerk. demented. We did not need to hear a description of a gruesome death . I'm offended and shame on. this writer for not taking ethical responsibility. this book is more killer porn than literary.

Great Series Kick Ass Heroine

Loved the witty kick ass heroine. Junco & her crew were hard to stop reading or listening . I didn't want it to end. I almost stopped reading after Issac's (The little boys) death in 'The Fledge' but in the end it was worth it. RIP Issac

This story is not a romance it is a nightmare. At first I was rooting for Monroe & the romance. Until Lincoln moved from deceitful to complete Stalker/perpetrator! No person should remain in a relationship where someone manipulates you and imprisons you. I am disturbed that this storyline attempts to pass forced sex without true consent as romance. if you are not free to consent it is assault. Further, dangerous romances like these do not end happily. in some of the worst cases it ends in murder suicide, if not years of abuse. I liked the characters until that wrong turn. I would've liked reading the next story. but I do not condone this authors taste level or ethics.

although I wanted to hear Jonquil & Rubens Story. It was overly complicated and cumbersome at times and then we don't get the payoff of even finding out about the swamp man's reunion with his family. I found myself zoning out on this one

Zander & Aloha's story was so awesome! Love getting explore Z's character & Aloha's development. The witty repartee continues. His dreamy romantic side & her sassy vulnerability & courage was lovely. I know they stand alone but this is so meaningful to see the progression of Zander & Keane's Romance & our love affair with the Morgan Family! The scene with Theo Leo....the family Celebration was everything! little Bea's continued love for Zander & cuteness ...Love all the Bodyguard references. just love Zaloha

Keane Morgan wouldn't return any of my calls or texts, and I was pissed as hell about it. I didn't want to drive from Seattle to L.A. with the guy any more than he wanted to drive with me, but I had no frickin' choice in the matter - at least, not if I wanted to use his brother Dax's coveted parking spot at UCLA. Okay, so it turned out Keane was objectively gorgeous, and, fine, pretty funny, too. But did he have to be so damned in love with himself? I mean, jeez, the cocky way he flashed those dimples was just so orchestrated.
