Historia
In Shaker Heights, a placid, progressive suburb of Cleveland, everything is planned - from the layout of the winding roads to the colors of the houses to the successful lives its residents will go on to lead. And no one embodies this spirit more than Elena Richardson, whose guiding principle is playing by the rules. This was amazing.
Revisado: 01-31-18
Would you consider the audio edition of Little Fires Everywhere to be better than the print version?
I actually tried both, and to be honest, I got much more into it with the audiobook. Mainly because it's a really slow-paced book and sometimes I get a hard time getting into them and the audiobook really helped me! So yes, for me the audiobook is even better.
What did you like best about this story?
How complex and slow-burning it is. You really get invested in the characters, it'really cleverly written and there are some really important topics in the book like trust, family connections, mother-daughter relationships, friendship, young love, teen pregnancy, abortion, adoption, racism, and so on.
What does Jennifer Lim bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Her voice is perfect for the book and her tone is just perfect every single time. Every emotion, every character. It's just really well done.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely yes. Every time I had to stop I just wanted to know what was going to happen next!
Any additional comments?
It's incredibly complete and complex, very well written, striking and emotional. And although I think you might have to be in the mood for this type of books, I think it's 100% worth it and I would highly recommend it.

Awesome characters
Revisado: 01-31-18
November Rain is passed in 2089 in a world where some persons aren’t entirely human. They are called bad bloods and in the city of Vendona, they are executed. Our main character Serena is a bad blood who got caught and almost killed. She was helped by a prison guard to escape. Followed by Daniel – our other main character – who is also a bad blood, who helped to save her life on the streets of Vendona.
I really liked this world, it was extremely gripping, realistic and just fantastic. It’s really creative and full of interesting elements. We have persons with different abilities, we have the tense political aspects, a city full of danger and a lot of mysteries. With the additional romance, which I’m excited to see evolve!
The characters are really awesome. I loved to follow both of the main characters, to see the differences in their life, to see them trying to survive and their interactions throughout the novel. They were full of life and personality and I am completely addicted to them. But we also have a lot more characters than those two and they are as special as these ones! They are all very young, with different abilities, personalities and overall stories.
I love how they all merged together. All they have in common being bad bloods, but I felt that it was even more than that. It really felt like family, the way they treated each other, and some of the characters were just a joy to be introduced to.
I loved this story, the only problem I had was that the narrator was quite difficult to enter into - the actual voice. There’s a lot going on, and to understand all the characters and different plots, it’s not easy sometimes, in an audiobook. And this one was definitely not easy for me to grab at first. But after some time I kinda got the hang of it. The voice might not be the best for the story.
Good dystopian, with awesome characters that will enter your heart, and some fantastic elements!

Girl power all the way!
Revisado: 10-11-17
Leigh Bardugo is one of my favorite authors, I just love her stories incredibly. Wonder Woman is also one of my favorite superheroes. So the two joined together, I had high expectations for. I'm not going to lie, I was expecting this to be a lot different than it ended up being... And that's why I'm so surprised to love this so much!
Wonder-Woman: Warbringer is an amazing retelling! It's all about girl power, friendship, family and learning how to be yourself. It's amazingly narrated by Mozhan Marno which I loved the voice!
This book is packed full of action, tension, emotion, and drama! It was oh so good! It was extremely gripping and in the beginning, I thought I knew what was going to happen but somehow the author made me forget that completely? It was quite weird because when the end came, it was what I was expecting but it still surprised me! I was expecting one thing but so much happened that I had no idea!
Another thing perfect in this book is the characters. I love them. There's nothing more to say, I just love any characters Leigh Berdugo creates.
Diana Prince is an incredible, incredible character. I loved her with all my heart! She is easily the best character in the book. I love her way of thinking, how she is just different from everyone else, how she in some things is so naive, how strong hearted (and just plain strong....) she is, how much family and friendship means to her, everything. I just loved everything about her!
I also really liked Alia, in the beginning, I thought she was going to be a bit "unsalted" but she ended up surprising me, and I loved her friends too. They are just all so unique! I really felt connected with them and I have for sure to read all this again because I liked it that much.
And the writing was just gorgeous! I'm always speechless of how even in the middle of all the tension and action there are always moments that make me snort. I love this... Definitely the best superhero story I've read! Definitely, recommend it.

Abso-bloody-lutely Fantastic!
Revisado: 07-28-17
Would you listen to The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue again? Why?
YES! It's such a fun and interesting book! It has subjects that I felt that I really important to read about and it explores them in a fun and easy way without making them less important.
Who was your favorite character and why?
All the characters are so good, but Monty is the funniest and silliest character in this book. It's impossible not to love him! He is sarcastic, he is funny and he is honest!
I also really liked Felicity tho. She is a very strong and calm person even in the worst of times, and I think she added a lot to the book!
What does Christian Coulson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The perfect voice for Monty! It just goes so well with the character, it's insane!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I think the end would move anyone... It's really emotional... But there were others! And a lot of Percy's moments moved me.
Any additional comments?
Go read the book! It's literally amazing- lots of adventures, lots of amazing characters and memorable moments!

Amazing and Gripping World
Revisado: 07-01-17
If you could sum up Shadow and Bone in three words, what would they be?
Magical, Fantastic and Dark.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The Darkling! He is the darkest and interesting character in this book! It draws you in and I can't wait to know more about him! He was for sure the character that made me want to read more.
Which character – as performed by Lauren Fortgang – was your favorite?
Probably Alina, I just thought that the voice suited this book incredibly well! And it was very easy to notice what character was talking. Amazing narration!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
With this narrator, I could have easily done that so, yes, definitely!

Amazing idea but...
Revisado: 05-29-17
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would since the idea of the book is really good, and I think that in terms of an audiobook, it really turned gripping. The voice was perfect for the story and I just hoped it was a bit more fast-paced...
Has The Circle turned you off from other books in this genre?
No really. I am not that big on sci-fi. And I am trying to enter a bit into it, but it's still not as appealing to me, as for example fantasy.
Which character – as performed by Dion Graham – was your favorite?
I really enjoyed the main character in terms of voice. It was just perfect!
Could you see The Circle being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Well... It was already and to be honest I'm afraid of how that turns out. I definitely will give it a try but I am not that excited...
