Loved this series.

I have been a long time fan of Anna Lowe. I have not only listened to but also read the book, twice!
I loved how she turned the classic tale of Robin hood around and made the heroine a female, and that well I will let the story itself tell you what happened with the sheriff as i don't want to spoil the tale.

Robynne is a fox shifter, made an outlaw, due to the fact she disagreed with a decision that was made for her. Trained with the bow from her youth she is a master archer and uses those skills to try to keep her brothers and their band of friends out of trouble while helping the villagers who are under the oppressions of evil men in power.

Daniel is the new, temporary, sheriff in town, and he sees the way that his predecessor had preyed on the townsfolk and surrounding villagers and wants to try to right the wrongs but finds it hard to do when he faces corruption within his own troops.

The two were fated mated before the crusades, Robynne had heard he had died. Daniel had heard the same of her. Will they be able to come together even though they are on opposing sides of the law? Or will the rumors be too much for her to ever trust him again? You will have to listen to the book to find out.

If you like Robin Hood tales don't let his one pass you by, you will regret it.

Seems to be an interesting twist on a Cinderella

I have started to listen to these books and have found myself fascinated by the story. I have always enjoyed fairy tale retellings and the synopsis of the book led me to believe it had the making of a Cinderella type story. However the author has built a much more complex world for this series and I cannot wait for her to finish the series.

Jacinthe is the main character, She is living with her step-father while her mother and half sisters are heading to the Imperial Academy to enroll. She was told she has no magic which is why she has not enrolled into an academy herself. They were told that her mother's ship was lost at sea with no survivors, and not even a week later, her step-father is now engaged to her mothers rival. The new family treat her little better that a servant until the day that her step-father tries to sell her into indentured servitude. He lied to the officials and wound up having to pay a steep fine, yet Jacinthe still became a servant heading off to Darkstone Academy. At least there she hopes they will treat her better that her step family did.

Upon boarding the ship she gets put in charge of the younger children who are also indentured to Darkstone. She also winds up befriending a Merfolk Lord against the advise of the ship captain. Arriving at the Academy it seems rumors abound about her friendship with the merfolk lord and she begins to feel ostracized by every but the children who arrived on the boat with them and the other "Monsters" that are being held as political prisoners'.

I don't want to go into more detail than that without giving away too many spoilers of the book but I would definitely give this a listen to.

A great beginning

I loved how the author brought to light how women should act in order to report abuse as soon as possible. Aside from that the overall story was very well written, and I can not wait to listen to the next book.

A stunning finale to a great series.

Claudia is the last of an unbroken line of Fire Maidens in Switzerland. She is chaffing at the restrictions that her parents have put her under due to all the previous attacks on new Fire Maidens across Europe. She escapes her bodyguards only to stumble into a chance encounter with 'Cliff' at little taverna she stumbled into.

This is the first night that Heathcliff has arrived into town to start a new bodyguard position the next day. When the waitress bring Claudia over to his table neither of the correct her mistaken assumption that they were meeting.

When Heath arrives at the manor the next morning to assume his bodyguard position, Claudia assume the previous night was all a set up. She tries to ditch him many times, but the bear shifter is really hard to shake off. Though all of this there is a darkness closing in. What will happen between these two dominate shifters? Will they be able to weather the upcoming disaster, or will it pull them apart permanently?

I have been a long time reader and listener to Anna Lowe's books, and was pleased with the finale to this great series. I cannot wait for her next one to come out.

Ever feel like a place is where you belong?

I have always enjoyed Anna Lowe's books. When she writes in a location like this, it makes me feel like I have discovered a private gem. Her stories have always stood out for me time and time again and this one is no different. Her narrator does a wonderful job at making the book live.

Zoe is an archeologist on a remote island in Greece. Ever since she had arrived the place seemed to have been calling home to her. Powerful people don't want her to discover anything of interest on the island, yet she feels that there is a story to be told in the ruins she is surveying.

Theo is a dragon shifter with a past. Even though the years of military service have caused him to grow up, he still needs to prove himself to the locals who only saw him as a spoiled rich brat. To earn the respect he has started to make amends, then he stumbles across Zoe who his dragon is insisting is his mate. However her bloodlines won't satisfy his father's conditions to earn his inheritance. So he must make a decision that is a hard call for any dragon shifter : Love or treasure?

However there are forces on the move that neither are prepared for. I don't want to get to far into the details which might spoil the book, but I definitely recommend picking the book up. It is great as a stand alone, and while there are mentions of the previous couples from the Fire Maidens series, the only real cameo is a foreshadowing of the next book to be released.

I received this as a gift from the author, and felt that my words may motivate future readers. I fully enjoyed this book.

A great book series.

I really enjoyed reading this series through Kindle Unlimited, and the narrators did a marvelous job bringing the books to life.

A group of human women were selected to travel to the Zorahn home planet to help their scientists find a cure for a plague that was affecting their people. However their ship crashes on the way killing one of the women and leaving the rest trapped on an unhospitable planet. They get rescued by two different groups of exiles, and the stories unfold from there.

I would definitely recommend listening to the books especially if you enjoyed reading the romances. The only issues I had was the repeat between books as the preview for the next book gets repeated when the book starts.

Is fighting Fate futile?

I must admit I absolutely love this series. I like how Anna pulls in the next hero into her story giving us a slight preview into what may be coming.

Cara Alari has always loved Venice, and as a Wetlands Ecologist she is trying to keep- the city from sinking beneath the waves. Her landlord convinces her to attend a ball during the famous Carnival within the city. When she got home from the wetlands all she wanted to do is just curl up and relax, but she get ready for this ball.

Tony Pelligrini is an ex-soldier from the French Foreign Legion, after running from false murder charges. He has felt pulled to the city, is it time for him to give in or can he clear his name.

The pair meet at the Carnival Ball, and manage to save someone who is important to the guardians. They get roped into playing bodyguard together, but can they solve the mystery before time is up, while keeping their charge safe?

I did receive a free copy of this audio, but Anna Lowe and her narrators have knocked this one out of the park. I doubt you will regret listening to this book.

Can a road trip bring them together?

I have no clue how Anna comes up with her stories, but once again I am amazed by it.

And old dragon has died, peacefully in his sleep, but his remains need to come home. Holly Jennings is bringing his remains home. Once there her presence is requested at the reading of his will and she is asked to honor a final request.

Lachland McKinney lives his life by order and by schedule and doesn't like anything to mess with it. He convinces himself he has no time for love though his dragon is pushing him to claim the go as you please Holly. He is tasked to guard Holly as the final task that Trevor asked for sends her right into their prison for Enzo Lombardi.

The pair had and amazing relationship 10 years ago that ended in one night of bliss then agonizing heartbreak as Lachland heads out to join the French Foreign Legion. Right off the bat, Holly interrupts his schedule first with bringing a dog, then wanting to stop at the roadside and pick some flowers. Will this pair be able to make their drastic differences come together, or will the trip end in heartbreak?

I say following this story will not leave you disappointed. While it is fine to read as a stand alone story, some of the characters from these series make an appearance so I recommend to read the series in full.

I did receive a free copy of this story, but as I said before I am just amazed by how well Anna Lowe has written it. Makes me feel like I was right there following them through their journey.

Can destiny strike twice?

I have always loved listening to Anna Lowe's books but this one and hopefully the next will strike close to my personal favorites. I've always been a fan of Ireland and Scotland and seeing them show up in a great authors works really makes me appreciate her more.

Finn Hurley has returned home to help his family even though it pains him a bit to be there. He had both met and lost his mate as a child, so returning makes him remember that loss.

Grace has inherited a cottage in Ballyfianna. She has loved when her family had visited when she was a kid, and always had fond memories of another who had saved her life in the ruins.

The pair run into each other again at the ruins. Finn is surprised of finding his mate back in Ireland and wants to try to keep her there, however Grace has some more pressing concerns back in the states. Grace has been fantasizing about what Finn would look like being grown up, but her imagination is not up to par with Finn in reality. She regret that she will need to be back in the states soon, but hopes that they can enjoy each others company while she is here to deal with the cottage.

Will these two be able to find a way to make their relationship blossom, or will life matter tear them apart?

I loved listening to this book, and not just for the romance in the story. There is action with an imposing clan trying to take over Ballyfianna. Will the Lombardi's be able to finally gain a foothold in Europe, or will they be thwarted again? All sorts of secret lie in wait for Grace, will she be able to handle the truth when it is shown to her?

I did receive a free copy of this audiobook, and I am voluntarily leaving this review. I don't think you will be disappointed in picking up the book.

Fate bring together five hearts,

I just started to listen to this story, and am enjoying it immensely.

Kira is just trying to survive after some startling events had unfolded on her birthday. A month later five men appear in her village and want her to leave with them on a dangerous quest. She finds herself attracted to each of the men, but can she trust them? Events unfold which require her to leave with them, thus starting an amazing journey.

In this first book we see her get closer to Jasin, the man who has been imbued with the powers of fire. According to the others they must go first to the fire temple to start their journey. Jasin is a runaway soldier from the Ebon Army. When he was gifted then tasked for this trip he left his command to seek out Kira.

Have a listen and enjoy the tale that is told. Will this group be able to reach the temple or will their personalities clash too much and drive them apart?
