Ok story and performance.
Revisado: 01-06-15
For a dramatized piece, the iDisk issues arose - sound was hard to hear in some areas.
It was ok however I think the story is a little too unrealistic - other big brother stories are a bit better, but as a classic, worth the listen.

Great for the family. Fast paced and entertaining despite being a little predictable.
Typical of Matthew Reilly, good guys finish first.

As Warden of the north, Lord Eddard Stark counts it a curse when King Robert bestows on him the office of the Hand. His honour weighs him down at court where a true man does what he will, not what he must...and a dead enemy is a thing of beauty. The old gods have no power in the south, Stark’s family is split and there is treachery at court. Worse, the vengeance-mad heir of the deposed Dragon King has grown to maturity in exile in the Free Cities. He claims the Iron Throne.

A different story and perspective to the TV show
Revisado: 08-07-13
Where does A Game of Thrones (Part One) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the best - good voice acting and a story to go with it! The story is similar to the TV show but approaches some things differently, so if you enjoy one, you'll like the other and it won't be like doubling up!
What did you like best about this story?
So different to other books, each chapter is from someone else's point of view.
While it is in a fantasy world, it stays on the border of realism, with only thin strands of fantasy woven into it to make the story much more intricate and compelling without being overwhelming.
Which character – as performed by Roy Dotrice – was your favorite?
Ned Stark as the ultimate good guy and Tyrion Lanister were excellent. Varys was a little unexpected but amusing.

This original and refreshingly different dramatisation follows Dante, "lost in a dark wood", who is met by Virgil, who takes him on a tour of the underworld: a place he could end up if he decides to take his own life. Corin Redgrave is the voice of Dante.

It'll make you consider your actions carefully...
Revisado: 08-07-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Dante's Inferno is a masterpiece upon which many other books and lore are built.
What did you like best about this story?
The idea is interesting and the way he creates this world for the reader is excellent! It makes you think about the things you've done - do your actions fall into one of the 9 categories...?
What didn’t you like about Corin Redgrave’s performance?
The performance was great but the sound was horrible in a number of spots, where the background sound effects overtook the narrator. But you still get the gist of the story.

Fun for kids with an attention span
Revisado: 08-07-13
Would you listen to Cinderella and Other Children's Favorites again? Why?
It's great to actually listen to a rendition of Cinderella that's not the same as other mainstream stories - going to two balls, not just the one... who would've guessed.
What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
There's 4 stories in this pack, each read by a different person, and a very cheery fairy godmother acts as the master of ceremonies. Different.
Any additional comments?
Would be fun for kids with a good attention span.
