Historia
Newcago is free. They told David it was impossible, that even the Reckoners had never killed a High Epic. Yet Steelheart - invincible, immortal, unconquerable - is dead. And he died by David's hand.Eliminating Steelheart was supposed to make life simpler. Instead, it only made David realize he has questions. Big ones. And no one in Newcago can give him answers.Babylon Restored, the city formerly known as the borough of Manhattan, has possibilities, though.

Brilliant
Revisado: 01-22-15
I have no idea how Brandon Sanderson continues to bring us such delightfully unpredictable stories. I am in awe of his gift of writing and eagerly anticipate reading whatever he's written. He is so creative and imaginative that I have to actually make myself stop reading/listening in order to delay the ending. Re-read Steelheart right before Firefight was released just to reconnect with the characters in the series. Firefight was just the usual Sanderson brilliance. I loved the twists and turns of the story and the perfect visuals he created to set the scenes. This book is awesome and I can't wait to read it again. MacLeod Andrews is one of my all-time favorite narrators and his narration of Firefight is as amazing as the rest of his work!

Historia
We may think we know Sarah Palin from all the coverage she has received in the political arena, but one-side depictions but media coverage is limited and, Sarah would even say, biased. Our Sarah is also a bit biased since it's written by Sarah's dad and brother with contributions from many friends and colleagues - these are the people who know her - and love her - best. Here are intimate stories from Sarah's life along with a celebration of growing up in and sharing all that Alaska means to Sarah and her family.

Wonderful!
Revisado: 10-03-12
If you could sum up Our Sarah in three words, what would they be?
Our Sarah was so very informative, extremely interesting, and definitely encouraging.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Our Sarah?
Chuck spoke about their family's way of knowing and caring about how each family member was doing without being intrusive into their lives. This is profound. To have this kind of support along with the freedom to live life is a wonderful thing.
Have you listened to any of Chuck Heath, Jr. and Chuck Heath, Sr. ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, I have not heard either of the Heaths before. I would like to hear more though!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book reminded me to, in the words of Elisabeth Elliot, "do the next thing". To keep moving forward in smooth roads and adversity. Basically, it seems that I would have subtitled the book - "Perseverance!"
Any additional comments?
Loved the story and the authentic narration. It was wonderful to hear the story of an American family who care about each other as well as others in the community. Hearing about family members who go out of their way to reach out and help others is so encouraging.

Historia
Ayla, one of the most remarkable and beloved heroines in contemporary fiction, continues to explore the world and the people around her with curiosity, insight, and, above all, courage. As the story opens, Ayla, Jondalar, and their infant daughter, Jonayla, are living with the Zelandonii in the Ninth Cave - a shelter of stone. Ayla has been chosen as an acolyte and has embarked on the arduous task of training to become a spiritual leader.

Yes, I already know all that.

I will not finish this. I love Audible books, but NOT this one. At first I thought it was the narrator trudging through each word until I wanted to scream. But then the non-story that she's reading came through and I saw two strikes against it. It's all a repeat of everything from the previous books. I couldn't take one more description of how people should greet Wolf; we've been told numerous times. How many ways can we hear about each bloody sound that you can make in a cave! Ayla's accent as done by the narrator is so distracting that I have to stop what I'm doing and wonder if she perhaps has something caught in her throat. Another distraction is the way Jondalar's voice is stunted so badly that he sounds like he's not very bright. For me this means that this book is just too much work. I'm probably like many others who use Audible in order to accomplish other tasks while simultaneously listening to great books but unfortunately I will not be continuing this book. Love the Earth Children Series (except this one).
