Historia
From the acclaimed authors of the runaway New York Times bestseller 2034 comes another explosive work of speculative fiction set twenty years further in the future, at a moment when a radical leap forward in artificial intelligence combines with America’s violent partisan divide to create an existential threat to the country, and the world.

It’s not bad. The voice acting is quite difficult to tolerate.
Revisado: 05-07-24
The voice acting is not to my liking.
The audio levels also are not as constant when switching between characters.

I love this series…
Revisado: 02-26-24
The first three books in this series and the original orator are phenomenal. Unfortunately, the expanded cast of narrators in this production don’t quite measure up to the first three.

Historia
Xenocide is the third installment of the Ender series. On Lusitania, Ender found a world where humans and pequeninos and the Hive Queen could all live together; where three very different intelligent species could find common ground at last. Or so he thought. But Lusitania also harbors the descolada, a virus which kills all humans it infects, but which the pequeninos require in order to transform into adults.

Voice acting? Kind of…
Revisado: 11-03-22
… these books are phenomenal, I’m enjoying them for the second time in audio form after having read the paperbacks at a young age.
The biggest problem with any audiobook of course is who is chosen to read it. In this case there are a handful of readers, and some of them do a reasonably good job. Others unfortunately do not.
The voice of the hive queen became like listening to finger nails on a chalkboard for this listener,(through books 2 and three), and if I weren’t such a fan of the author and the series I probably would’ve stopped listening.
Also, their attempts to adopt a Chinese accent for the Chinese characters was very poorly executed.
Another positive thing about these audiobooks are the comments from the author at the end of each book.
Two stars for the performance of this book is too much, but the series and the author are good enough to overcome that poor performance…

From two former military officers and award-winning authors comes a chillingly authentic geopolitical thriller that imagines a naval clash between the US and China in the South China Sea in 2034 - and the path from there to a nightmarish global conflagration.

Adequate…
Revisado: 10-04-22
… I’m not sure really how to describe my experience with this book. It’s interesting I suppose.
The readers are adequate, the plot is, well, adequate.
Overall I’d say I wish I had spent my credit on something else… but I do believe it’s worth 3 stars so… do as you will with that…

Too distracted by the voice…
Revisado: 08-16-22
…Of Mr. Page.
I’m sure I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn’t so distracted by his “Monty Python”-esque character voices… a British accent can only go so far… beware!
