Historia
When Gianni Bozzacchi accepted an assignment as a photographer on the set of The Comedians (1967), he didn't know that his life was about to change forever. His ability to capture the beauty of candid moments drew the attention of the film's star, Elizabeth Taylor, and prompted her to hire him as her personal photographer.

If you could sum up My Life in Focus in three words, what would they be?
Stardom Rags-to-Rices Attainment
What other book might you compare My Life in Focus to and why?
Really can't think of anything like this
What about James Killavey’s performance did you like?
Reader did a good job and I liked his style, but....best to check the sample. He is obviously from the East Coast and may not be everybody's cup of tea. So do the sensible thing...listen before you buy.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There was a lot of both in this book. Quite a tour de force.
Any additional comments?
I grew up in the heyday of the celebrities the author met and sometimes more than that.
( Like his tryst with Bridgett Bardot ! ) I found his life story fascinating as was the "real" info on the members of "the jet set."

Very Disappointed
Revisado: 01-29-17
What did you like best about Lethal Injection? What did you like least?
Fair story. Narrator was just NOT Jason.
What was most disappointing about John C. Dalglish’s story?
Why in the world did the author change narrators? I listened to the last four and came to hear the narrator as THE Jason Strong. The change is rather jarring and I just couldn't get into it. Reminded me of the time the Travis MacGee series changed narrators. Yuk!
What does Joshua Bennington bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Nothing against Mr. Bennington. Some people seem to like him. But listen to the sample first if you are a fan of the series. It's just not the same.
Was Lethal Injection worth the listening time?
No
Any additional comments?
When you find a good narrator for a series...stick with him.

Historia
Without women, whiskey may not exist. In Whiskey Women, Wall Street Journal-best-selling author Fred Minnick tells the tales of women who have created this industry, from Mesopotamia's first beer brewers and distillers to America's rough-and-tough bootleggers during Prohibition. Women have long distilled, marketed, and owned spirits companies. These strong women built many iconic brands, including Bushmills, Laphroaig, and Maker's Mark.

Very interesting
Revisado: 05-08-16
If you could sum up Whiskey Women in three words, what would they be?
Interesting, informative, good
Who was your favorite character and why?
non-fiction
Which scene was your favorite?
This was a history so...all of it was interesting.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Title is fine but it would have to be a documentary.
Any additional comments?
Reader was quite good. Some of the pronunciations were tough and, as far as I could tell, he got them all.

Historia
This audiobook challenges several longstanding notions about the American way of war. It examines US military practice (strategic and operational) from the War of Independence to the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan to determine what patterns, if any, existed in the way Americans have used military force. Echevarria surveys all major US wars and most every small conflict in the country's military history.
