Historia
It's easy to feel at home in Mitford. In these high, green hills, the air is pure, the village is charming, and the people are generally lovable. Yet Father Tim, the bachelor rector, wants something more. Enter a dog the size of a sofa who moves in and won't go away. Add an attractive neighbor who begins wearing a path through the hedge. Now, stir in a lovable but unloved boy, a mystifying jewel theft, and a secret that's 60 years old.

You said you'd listen to your favorite narrators read anything: Well, this ambrosial new audiobook brings together an acclaimed cast of narrators to read aloud the menus of some of our favorite local restaurants here at Audible headquarters in Newark, New Jersey, as only they know how. You haven't truly lived, or dined, until you've heard Cassandra Campbell capture the emotional nuances of Newark's best Indian-inflected burgers or let Nick Podehl extol the virtues of the pear arugula salad and then seductively steer you toward a plate of creamy mushroom linguini.

Historia
A coming-of-age tale for the young and naïve 17-year-old Catherine Morland, Northanger Abbey takes a decidedly comical look at themes of class, family, love and literature. Revelling in the sensationalist - and extremely popular - Gothic fiction of her day, the story follows Catherine out of Bath to the lofty manor of the Tilneys, where her overactive imagination gets to work constructing an absurd and melodramatic explanation for the death of Mrs Tilney, which threatens to jeopardise her newly forged friendships.

...And all the finest points in human integrity. Also the best in English civilization at its height. Presented in flawless and wonderful narration. It’s the first time I’ve managed to make it through this entire book. Not only making it through the book but enjoying it thoroughly and understanding its finer nuances at last, thanks to this outstanding presentation. Beautiful classic and a real gem!

Historia
We are accustomed to think of sociopaths as violent criminals, but in The Sociopath Next Door, Harvard psychologist Martha Stout reveals that a shocking 4 percent of ordinary people, one in 25, has an often undetected mental disorder, the chief symptom of which is that that person possesses no conscience. He or she has no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt, or remorse. One in 25 everyday Americans, therefore, is secretly a sociopath.

Revisado: 06-10-16
Beautifully narrated by Scott Brick. This was another intelligent and artistic creation by Michael Crichton. I enjoyed this book as much as Jurassic Park and loved the subtle ending. Mr Crichton excels at providing a thoughtful study of human scientific endeavor and its ramifications, while spinning a totally enjoyable and immersive tale. Scott Brick's narration was perfect!!!

Thandie Newton takes Jane Eyre to new heights with this incredible performance of the classic novel Jane Eyre. One of my favorite classics, I have read (or listened to) this novel at least ten times over my lifetime. Thandie Newton's narration is by far the best, most unforgettable, most outstanding version of this book. I thank her from the bottom of my heart for this excellent audiobook. And Audible too. A absolute must have audiobook!!!
