Listened to this fun story in one go. Lots of great twists and turns that kept me guessing! I felt drawn into the story of friendship and appreciated the true crime community stepping in. A fun and thrilling escape!

Felt excluded and lost interest

I really enjoyed the author's first book, but in this one, he constantly draws from history, the business world and pop culture to discuss different thinkers and figures. But literally everyone he talks about is a man. The fact that he discusses NO women in history, pop culture or the business world gives me the sense that he sees women as less valuable. After the 10,000th example of something a man said or did with zero examples of women, I shut it off. Also, when he discussed the 1950's being "everyone's" ideal time in history, there was no mention that it was a bad time for women and anyone who wasn't a white guy, all of whom were second class citizens back then.

A smart, heartwarming love story

I really enjoyed this cozy romance story that I listened to off season because I couldn't resist the cover--and I was not disappointed! This was my first LGBT romance and my first Alison Cochrun book but it will not be my last!

I am now an even bigger fan of Sinead O'Connor than I was before listening to her beautiful memoir. She was a wonderful storyteller who overcame great abuse and challenges when bringing her art to the world. I'm happy her voice and her story lives on with this audio.

I was excited to listen to this because I really wanted the information, but it really bogs down in the medical details. It was so slow it felt like work to listen. I wish the material had been faster and more fun to listen to.

One of the best audiobooks ever

Just beautiful. What a joy this was! It felt like wandering through the woods talking about Mary Oliver's poetry with all of her dearest friends. And then every so often, Mary Oliver would come by and recite a poem for you. It was also a beautiful discussion of grief, mortality, and human existence. Anyone looking for a SOULFUL and magnificent journey should listen.
