Great detail and descriptions. It was almost like being there.
Revisado: 07-28-24
This exciting true story gives a deeper understanding of the character of Theodore Roosevelt and the nearly impossible odds of his mission to explore an unknown part of the Amazon river area of Brazil. It also provides perspective on that time of history, the nature of the wilderness at that time, and some of the political atmosphere. But best of all, it illustrates the unique person who was Theodore Roosevelt.
Highly recommend this gritty roller coaster adventure!

Sam's voice and way of expressing himself make for a great read. He reveals much about his life, as well as describing his walk through the Scottish highlands. I laughed out loud.

I loved this book!
I recently read "The Lincoln Highway" and I loved it too. Both are odysseys from the mid-1900, involving young people on journey, both literal and psychological. Fascinating tales of Adventures on the road to self discovery. Both are artfully crafted fun reads. Highly recommended!

Very engaging story. Excellent narration.
Revisado: 05-27-22
Lovely, detailed description of beautiful period of British ruled India. The story is tasty, though somewhat predictable. Narrator has a very pleasant, listenable voice and does accents well. I enjoyed it very much. This is a book for a female audience. I will look for more by this author.

We are all ONE

She was talking directly to me.
Revisado: 01-25-22
It took a long time for me to read this book.
Each time I put it down I couldn't remember what I had read - only that it felt like what I read was very personal and important. So I gave myself time to digest it, then tried again, a few chapters at a time.
It all rang so true and felt very assuring. I finished it and felt very comforted that my life is unfolding as it is planned by my higher self. But I'm still not remembering what it said.
I will read it again. I would like to find others to read it with me and perhaps discuss it as we go, maybe by Zoom.

Together, Sarah and Jen discovered that they had been called upon in this lifetime to share this knowledge.

Interesting material. Narration was a title bumpy.
Revisado: 12-21-21
This is one of those narrated by the writer. And she did okay. She could have used a little more expression sometimes, and perhaps found a way to distinguish the voices of the other characters better. But all in all it was a good book, full of interesting things to think about. Strongly influenced by Dolores Cannon's books. If you like those you will like this.

Historia
The Gods Never Left Us contends that recent advancements in biotechnology, astrophysics, engineering, and artificial intelligence not only give us a fresh perspective on his ancient astronaut theory but actually validates it. We are - as a race - embarking on the exact same trajectory of our own interplanetary colonization, just as von Daniken suggested Earth itself was colonized. ETs are definitely at work today. And that affects all of us.
