Did not love it

This was my first Piper Stone book and probably won’t read another. I didn’t love her writing style, I thought some of it was juvenile. The narrator in my opinion was terrible, mostly because he couldn’t do female voices and wasn’t as much of a change between characters so sometimes it was hard to follow.

The Narrator is the only saving grace

Okay so I tried really hard to like this book. I wanted to like this book, but I didn’t love it. The inner dialogue was so drawn out and it was repeating the same thoughts over and over. I really don’t like books who don’t wrap things up or at least mostly wrap up a story before ending. I wish I had known that the book doesn’t end, there’s no final scene where you at least get some closure, you just get a cliffhanger and when you get the next book, it’s new M and F MC for the main story. It’s super annoying and I definitely wouldn’t have bought it had I known. However, Troy Duran is always amazing and his voice is sexy as hell.

You won’t regret it!

I never do reviews, but this book absolutely surprised me. I loved the main character Violet, she never lets her disabilities stop her and you spend the entire book rooting for her. I loved how the slow burn romance doesn’t overwhelm the story line. I also found myself laughing so many times at the banter back and forth between the characters, which really made me fall in love with this book. The ending is a cliffhanger and now I’m trying to figure out when the next book will come out. The narrator has a cold but I didn’t feel it was as bad as some of the other reviews made it sound. Definitely listen to it anyway.
