ADHD and ADD are two very complex mental problems. Though much is known about these conditions, on the other hand little is known about treatment plans. While most doctors want to throw stimulants to control the person affected, there are other options. Management comes from knowledge along with trial and error. A book on these conditions can help parents understand their child's thought process and bring clarity to a difficult matter.

not what I was looking for

this book is very informative but I was hoping with the title that there would be more situational day-to-day examples of how to support your child with ADHD and ADD
as a parent with a child who has ADHD I was really looking forward to a book that could help me through the tough day-to-day situations that would guide me to be the best way support for my child through the bad days, hard days, Etc
unfortunately I did not find this with this book but I'm not going to stop looking.

I can see why Whoopi Goldberg suggests this read.
she is referenced it time and time again and I just had to experience this for myself.
I think that it's definitely something that everybody should experience at least once in their life.

I love this book and I highly recommend it to everyone.
if you are old enough to date and/or you are thinking about dating (or if you just want advice about the relationship you're in)
pick up this book. that's my advice.
not only does Whoopi give some great advice but she delivers it with the flair that only Whoopi can provide.
the over all feeling I got from the book while I was listening is like setting down with a good friend or mentor and being talked to rather than being talked at or down to.
it's a really good book and I hope you'll give it a shot.

you always wonder what the (fill in the blank) was going on in "his head" when (fill in the blank)?
well this is that opportunity.
"The Dominant" is the same story as the previous book (The Submissive) but it is from his point of view and answers the questions Why? What was he thinking? , and possibly reveals some dynamic secrets.
Hope you enjoy this book as much as I have. Happy reading/listening.
