Historia
The only thing in Colin Mulligan's life that makes sense is taking cars apart and putting them back together. In the auto shop where he works with his father and brothers, he tries to get through the day without having a panic attack or flying into a rage. Drinking helps. So does running and lifting weights until he can hardly stand. But none of it can change the fact that he's gay, a secret he has kept from everyone.

In the middle of amazing!
Revisado: 02-03-25
The Middle of Nowhere has changed my life in ways I’m still trying to understand. The story resonated so deeply that I found myself in tears of gratitude, overwhelmed by the self-discovery it sparked within me.
As a survivor of rape, my journey with love, desire, and self-acceptance has been complicated—stolen from me before I had the chance to explore it on my own terms. The pain and shame of that experience have followed me my entire life. I understand Colin. I understand the shame, the anger, and the weight of trauma that lingers. Even after 53 years, even after 17 years of marriage to my husband, I’m still uncovering truths about myself—about what love means to me, about the romance I still crave, and about the acceptance I never had growing up.
I never had examples of love between two men. I never saw the beauty of it reflected back at me. But these books have given me that clarity, that understanding, and that permission to keep searching for my own expression of love and intimacy. I am not dead yet. There is still so much life in me, and I refuse to stop discovering what love and romance can be before I leave this world.
I don’t know how you do it, but I am in awe of your ability to capture the beauty in the struggle—to make pain feel seen, while still holding onto the fragile, hopeful nature of the human heart. The struggles in these stories are real, and through them, I am learning, healing, and finding myself in ways I never expected.
I am beyond grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you for these stories, for these characters, for the love, the intimacy, and the breathtaking depth in every word. You have woken something in me I didn’t even know needed to wake up.
So good. The book, the narration, the characters, the love, the intimacy—all of it is beautifully woven together.
I’m buying the next book immediately. I need to know what happens next.

Daniel Mulligan is tough, snarky, and tattooed, hiding his self-consciousness behind sarcasm. Daniel has never fit in - not at home in Philadelphia with his auto mechanic father and brothers, and not at school where his Ivy League classmates looked down on him. Now, Daniel's relieved to have a job at a small college in Holiday, Northern Michigan, but he's a city boy through and through, and it's clear that this small town is one more place he won't fit in.

Revisado: 01-22-25
I’ve noticed that each book in the Roans series resonates with me on a personal level, as if the author has captured the essence of our (gay men’s) shared experiences. The stories delve into themes that are universal to humanity, such as abuse, neglect, dysfunctional family dynamics, bullying, personal struggles, and love stories. These books have a profound impact on me, and it’s not just about the sexual content; it’s about the love, hopes, and truth they convey. This particular book struck me deeply.
Through these stories, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of myself and had many realizations that I wasn’t even aware of. These books have become catalysts for personal growth and self-discovery. It’s an incredible feeling to be reminded that life is full of possibilities and that we can achieve our dreams.
Thank you for sharing these remarkable books.

I can’t say this enough—Roan Parrish’s Invitation to the Blues is extraordinary. It’s not about the erotic details; it’s the depth and love poured into each character that pulls you in. The raw honesty and passion in these stories are unparalleled, making you fall in love not just with the romance, but with the emotional complexity and trauma each character carries. These books are beautifully written, full of heart and authenticity. I’m officially a huge fan, and I can’t wait to dive into more of Roan Parrish’s work. It’s just that good—it leaves me begging, “Please, please… please, more!” Thank you for these incredible stories!

Historia
For the last 10 years, Huey has built his life around his sobriety. If that means he doesn't give a damn about finding love or companionship for himself, well, it's probably better that way. After all, the last thing he wants is to hurt anyone else. Until Felix Rainey walks into his bar, fresh-faced, unbearably sweet - and, for some reason Huey can't fathom, interested in him.

Narrator cringe but excellent story
Revisado: 01-08-25
I found *Raze* difficult to get into at first, primarily because of Dane’s narration. It was a struggle to continue, but I persisted because I love Roan Parrish’s storytelling and character development. While the previous books in the trilogy completely immersed me, this time I found myself distracted by the narrator’s portrayal of Dane.
That said, I ended up loving the book. The ending brought me genuine joy, and I continue to adore the author’s ability to craft such rich, emotional stories. However, the choice of narrator for Dane’s character was, frankly, brutal for me. I wish they had stuck with the narrator from the first two books, as their performance felt more aligned with the depth and passion of the characters.
Dane’s narration felt flat and lacked the emotional intensity I expected. I wanted to hear more life, more awareness of his pain and passion, but instead, it felt like a flatline throughout. I understand the intent behind the choice, but it made the experience harder to connect with.
Despite this, the story itself is amazing. The detail, the intimacy, and the way Parrish weaves personal connection into the characters’ lives is fascinating. As a storyteller myself, I deeply appreciate the author’s ability to convey such raw, human experiences through their writing.
Overall, *Raze* is another incredible addition to Roan Parrish’s work, even if the narration didn’t resonate with me. I’m still looking forward to listening to more books by this author—her stories are always worth it.

I had such a hard time with this one at fist. So much, so close to heart, and so many things I couldn’t stand but for a reason that is obvious and so grateful for the story and the understanding. I love your books, they are stories and real, and hot, and honest, it’s so good to have these books and to have stories that we can relate to and have to share the love there is between gay couples and the same joys and heartbreak we all feel no matter who it is we love.

I’m covered
Revisado: 12-05-24
I bought this book by accident, not knowing what I was going to listen to. The story was an adventure, yet sad, disturbing, and I am lost in its sweetness and struggle of mental pain and sorrow of the characters.
As someone who has been left seen a love in my life jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge because he didn’t see any other way, I’m troubled by the sacrifice and struggle of his mental health and struggle. It’s so important to remember so much of these actions causes more pain to those left standing there wondering why.
I enjoy this book and the struggle of love, but a wound was reopened by this story and I’m sad. But the reality is, we need to remind others that this is possible, love is hard, scary, painful, but there are always ways to remain with all those who love you. Please find a way before taking your own life. Please.

Love is love
Revisado: 11-25-24
While so many of us fight to remain hopeful to have shared rights and love finally being seen as love. This story being as old as it is, should always be the example that love is love no matter with whom you love. Religions have destroyed love, and it has destroyed the world. The gods should raise all acts against these false idols and bestow hardship on all who continue to discredit nature and all created on this earth equally. I loved this story, it is hopeful, beautiful, and should never tarnish as the modern religions continue to drag the facts of science into the dirt while wielding their erasing of truth over their lies and deceit.
Love is love and no matter, love will always remain the truth and power of all things. No religion can remove that!

Twisted Truths: Mother Gothel’s Dark Tale Unveiled
Revisado: 11-19-24
I am absolutely enchanted by Serena Valentino's Villains series and the captivating Odd Sisters. These misfit witches have become some of my all-time favorite characters, brimming with humor, chaos, and unmatched charm. Their stories are nothing short of a masterclass in imagination and storytelling, and I cannot express how much joy and inspiration they’ve brought me.
The Odd Sisters evoke the same timeless magic I’ve always cherished in iconic trios like the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus. Their delightful insanity, razor-sharp wit, and deeply layered personalities are a testament to Valentino's genius. Each book in this series is like a beautifully crafted spell, weaving together the threads of classic fairytales with a touch of dark mischief. The seamless connections between these stories leave me in awe—it's a literary standing ovation, truly!
I don’t want these tales to end. I long for more adventures with the Odd Sisters and their wonderfully meddlesome ways. The idea of them having their own corner of a Disney park or starring in their own movie gives me chills in the best way. Imagine a land of the dead brought to life at a Disney park—pure brilliance!
Thank you, Serena Valentino, for this extraordinary gift. Your attention to detail, creativity, and passion shine through every page, and I’ll be singing the praises of these books to anyone and everyone. They deserve all the love and recognition. I truly hope this isn’t the end for the Odd Sisters, because I’d happily follow them into whatever chaos they conjure next!
