Most unlistenable book EVER

I love Kristen Ashley. I own all her books on Audible. I HATE this one. Apparently, she decided to skip about 1/3 of all "the"s, "a"s, etc. It is so distracting, I can't even finish the first chapter. Shame on you for not using correct English in a book. Unfortunately, I have owned this book too long to return it.

So, I didn't know who Steve Lukather is, although I'm familiar with the band. I would NEVER have bought this book, but it was the daily deal one day. So I decided to listen to it. It was pretty good, although I have no idea who many of the people mentioned are, It was fun to listen to. I don't think I had heard the song Africa in years, but after listening to this book (and his opinion of the song), I swear I heard it at least once a week on the radio for a while. I also REALLY liked that he didn't trash the women he mentioned having relationships with - in fact, I don't recall him trashing anyone. All in all, a pretty good autobiography, read by the author and it makes me think that he's probably fun to hang out with.

Not much suspense, but pleanty of humor

I really liked this series, but they are NOT suspenseful, they are funny. I laughed out loud numerous times. I wonder who is categorizing the books. I often find that they are in the wrong category.

This book is wrongly classified. It is not very suspenseful, it is hysterical. It should be listed as Romance, Humor. It made me laugh out loud a number of times.

Not erotic, stupid plot

The sex scenes in this book are not remotely erotic. They are beyond pedestrian. The ending also was terrible. I REALLY disliked this book, although I like her other books

I don't know what I paid for this book, but it wasn't worth it. I don't know if Molly Harper is desperate for money or what, but this kind of rip off really ticks me off! I really like her books, but I am extremely disappointed with this non-effort.

Boooooring

Would you try another book from Lindsey Davis and/or Robin Sachs?

I love Lindsey Davis' Marcus Didius series and was looking forward to this book, but it was so boring I kept falling asleep. I don't know if the bood was boring or the reader, but it seemed to take forever to finish. I suspect the fault lies with Robin Sachs, because I like her other books so much.

What do you think your next listen will be?

I'm listening to Creole Belle by James Lee Burke.

How could the performance have been better?

Not speak in a monotone!!!!!

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Master and God?

I'm not sure I would cut anything, except the reader. Why would she change readers?

Would you consider the audio edition of Wicked Business to be better than the print version?

No, I would always prefer the print version, but I'm legally blink and forced to listen. However, this is a very good audio book - I really like this reader.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wicked Business?

Carl the monkey and the cat are always funny.

Have you listened to any of Lorelei King’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to all Janet Evanovich's books and I think she is a great performer - perfect for these books.

pretty good book - terrible, awful recording

This book starts out well, but by the end I was bored and I LOVE Julia Child. Part of the problem is that the recording is really awful. The volume is inconsistent and my ipod kept thinking that it had reached the end of the book and would continue to the next book. This would require me to go back and then fast-forward to where I ended. I guess I just got sick of it.
