Nothing interesting
Revisado: 09-23-22
The story was ordinary, writing style kinda boring. I maybe like the narrator, if she’s with some book without accent.

Fiction that sounded like documentary
Revisado: 09-06-22
The story wasn’t anything interesting. About police investigated a dead man case and at the very ended it involved another murder. The narrator made it more like a documentary of an ordinary police work.

“Sometimes teenagers run away...Give her a few days. She’ll be back.” That’s what the police tell Jessica Moore when her seventeen-year-old daughter, Wyn, vanishes. All signs point to this being true. But days become weeks. Weeks become months. And Jessica begins to fear the terrible truth - that she may never see her daughter again. Then, one year later, when all hope seems lost, Jessica gets a flurry of text messages from Wyn that freeze her blood.

Too many twists till it made story weak
Revisado: 08-28-22
If you expected this to be a story of a mother investigating till she found her missing daughter, please rethinking. The story was too long and I didn’t see if it’s necessary to tell from different perspective/timeline, to me it’s more like an experiment from the author.
And by the way, I don’t believe that Jessica and her daughter were close, when your daughter just lost her best friend, a good mother must be there for her, texting her, calling her and checking her mood. None of this appear in the story.

Historia
In every life there is a turning point. A moment so tremendous, so sharp and breathtaking, that one knows one’s life will never be the same. For Michael Stirling, London’s most infamous rake, that moment came the first time he laid eyes on Francesca Bridgerton. After a lifetime of chasing women, of smiling slyly as they chased him, of allowing himself to be caught but never permitting his heart to become engaged, he took one look at Francesca Bridgerton and fell so fast and hard into love it was a wonder he managed to remain standing.

Less wicked in the series
Revisado: 06-24-22
The main characters were very boring. I can’t find just one charm of them. Moreover, the writer didn’t bring others Bridgerton to lift up the mood. Ms F Bridgerton lived far away from her family as always.

Historia
Sophie Beckett never dreamed she'd be able to sneak into Lady Bridgerton's famed masquerade ball, or that 'Prince Charming' would be waiting there for her!Even though she's the daughter of an earl, Sophie has been relegated to the role of servant by her disdainful stepmother. But now, spinning in the strong arms of the debonair and devastatingly handsome Benedict Bridgerton, she feels like royalty. Alas, she knows all enchantments must end when the clock strikes midnight.

Historia
Once described by Mao Zedong as a "needle inside a ball of cotton", Deng was the pragmatic yet disciplined driving force behind China's radical transformation in the late 20th century. He confronted the damage wrought by the Cultural Revolution, dissolved Mao's cult of personality, and loosened the policies that had stunted China's growth. Obsessed with modernization, Deng opened trade relations with the West, which lifted hundreds of millions out of poverty. Yet he also answered to his authoritarian roots, most notably when he ordered the crackdown in 1989 at Tiananmen Square.

Good book, worth every single penny
Revisado: 02-24-22
I picked this book because I wanted to learn how Deng Xiaoping turned China around and bought this country to this point. I never thought that I would enjoy it this much. The writer put everything together perfectly well, telling story as it happened without bias. I even bought the kindle version, so I can check name and some details that my ears can’t catch up. Now I also got China and Japan Facing History, another book of the author.
For the narrator, I like his reading but I agree with others that, at least, he should pronounce name of the key persons in this book correctly, especially “Deng Xiaoping”.

Historia
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

Act like someone who understands life but far from that
Revisado: 11-20-21
Many people said this book was good, so I thought I should give it a chance. I almost gave up half way, but decided to finish it, maybe the good part came later. But no, nothing special arrived.
If the author wants to write this kind of genre again, I recommend him to start studying Buddhism, he might get a better book next time. And I’m not sure who decided how to narrate this book, it’s a disaster, sounds like meditation. If your book was a real good one, perfect atmosphere wasn’t needed.

Good story with good performance
Revisado: 06-27-21
When I started the book, I asked myself “Why did I buy this almost 47 hours novel?” But after a few chapters, I knew that I can finished it.
The first 2 books, story went steadily, not too fast, not too slow, but very interesting and hard to guess where the story heading toward. Although the 3rd was about waiting patiently and repeating some activities over and over but it was still reasonable. And at that point, I came too far to give up.
