Historia
Born in Leipzig, Germany, into a Jewish family, Eddie Jaku was a teenager when his world was turned upside-down. On November 9, 1938, during the terrifying violence of Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass, Eddie was beaten by SS thugs, arrested, and sent to a concentration camp with thousands of other Jews across Germany. Every day of the next seven years of his life, Eddie faced unimaginable horrors in Buchenwald, Auschwitz, and finally on a forced death march during the Third Reich’s final days.

Required Reading for a decent world!!
Revisado: 04-14-25
I’ve read countless books about individual accounts of the Shoa and this book is now in my top 3!!! This book is critical reading written by an AMAZING MAN!! Life Changing lessons and it couldn’t be a more important time for everyone to read it. We’re living in an age where the Far Left and the Far Right are doing everything in their power to mainstream Antisemitism. God bless Eddie Jaku and God help us all.

Historia
For the first time in generations, antisemitism has become a daily reality in America, and it’s getting worse. Jewish synagogues and their congregants are targeted and sometimes killed by extremists, Jewish students are harassed and attacked on campus, conspiracy theories about Jews have gone mainstream on social media, and debates over Israel have veered into dangerous territory. Senator Chuck Schumer tackles the historical, political, cultural, and international forces that have led to the alarming rise of antisemitism in America in the 21st Century.

Disappointed but not surprised
Revisado: 03-29-25
As a lifelong Jewish conservative I have read everything on antisemitism, no matter the authors political lean. I’m certainly no fan of Schumer when it comes to politics (economic or social) and have been disgusted over the past few years by his treatment of Israel and his open arms welcoming to all Jew haters who aren’t on the right. I really wanted to find something redeemable from Schumer in his book but the book only solidified my disdain for him. If you want to learn about the roots of antisemitism, read “Why the Jews”, by Dennis Prager. Thank God President Trump won!!

Historia
In this intimate and open account—nothing like any rock-and-roll memoir you’ve ever read—Alex Van Halen shares his personal story of family, friendship, music and brotherly love in a remarkable tribute to his beloved brother and band mate. In his rough yet sweet voice, Alex recounts the brothers’ childhood, first in the Netherlands and then in working class Pasadena, California, with an itinerant musician father and a very proper Indonesian-born mother.

Have you ever wondered what happens after life? Do souls live forever? What does the future hold? What is our task in the here and now? These are only a few of the subjects discussed in Afterlife: A Jewish View. The main text, written by Jonathan Morgenstern and based on the teachings of Rabbi Sholom Kamenetsky, is a clear and inspirational description of the Jewish view on ideas such as life after death, the soul, and the future of the planet.

Great book!! Went into much more depth about Judaisms views of the afterlife than I ever heard growing up in a reform synagogue. Then again, God isn’t really discussed in the reform movement. This book has helped me move towards modern orthodox. Highly recommended reading.

Rabbi Singer has so much knowledge and common sense when it comes to the Tanakh that he easily dissects both Tanakh & NT, making belief in JC nonexistent. G-d bless you Tovia Singer!!

From the first persecutions of the Jews in the fourth century to the horrors of the Holocaust, from Israel-bashing in today's press to anti-Semitism spouted from the pulpit, this painful book tells the tragic story that every Christian must listen to. In a freshly updated and expanded edition of this pivotal work, Dr. Michael Brown exposes the faulty theological roots that opened the door to anti-Semitism in church history, explaining why well-meaning believers so often fall into the trap of hate...and showing how you can bring an end to the cycle of violence.
