Readers deserved more than a cliff hanger
Revisado: 08-13-21
I’ve enjoyed this series but was most disappointed that this book ended in a cliff hanger. I’ve read many of this authors books and never before felt let down.

New series from Ann Charles
Revisado: 02-02-21
Different but enjoyable. I like all the Ann Charles books I have listened to to date.
I would have given this a higher rating but the end chapter was mixed up and out of place.

Good book but awful sound engineering
Revisado: 12-15-20
The story is very good and the narration is good. However, something went very wrong with the sound engineering. The sound level fluctuates between whisper level to making me jump level that has nothing to do with what is being said. I was constantly adjusting the volume in an attempt to accommodate this. I would have given this 5 stars had it not been for this major irritant.

Beware of the narration
Revisado: 07-12-17
I'm a long time fan of Jayne Ann Krentz and read and listen to all her books under her various names. This is an older book and when I read it I did enjoy it. However, listening to it was quite painful and I had to fast forward through several sections. The narrator puts significant emphasis on the sarcastic statements to the point I was cringing and found the female character unattractive. Basically thr narration ruined what was otherwise a decent book.

Coffee House Mystery
Revisado: 01-15-17
I have totally enjoyed this coffee house mystery series. I have listened to all the books available to date and plan to stick with the series.
A note to the editor on this particular book: There are two places towards the end where the narrator is clearly talking to herself or someone else trying to work out how best to read the passage. It would have been good if this had been edited out as it distracts from the story and from the otherwise excellent narration.
