Historia
Despite considerable press coverage and a lengthy trial, the full story of the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints has remained largely untold. Only one man can reveal the whole, astounding truth: Sam Brower, the private investigator who devoted years of his life to breaking open the secret practices of the FLDS and bringing Warren Jeffs and his inner circle to justice.

Couldn’t stop listening
Revisado: 01-20-23
This excellently-written and narrated story is unbelievable - except that it’s true. Hard to fathom the hard and hidden lives of these children and women. And difficult to understand the many legal missteps that occurred. Sam Brower’s courage and tenacity is laudable. Highly recommend.

Historia
Israel is a tiny state, and yet it has captured the world's attention, aroused its imagination, and, lately, been the object of its opprobrium. Why does such a small country speak to so many global concerns? More pressingly: Why does Israel make the decisions it does? And what lies in its future? We cannot answer these questions until we understand Israel's people and the questions and conflicts, the hopes and desires, that have animated their conversations and actions.

Well-written and comprehensive, with very good narration that kept me on the edge of my seat. Rabbi Gordis’ book is an intelligent and honest look at a miraculous story and a tenacious people. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, Compelling True Story....

....and a love story in wartime. It’s the story of a man’s resistance to evil and drive to repent his guilt. I loved it but- I was disgusted by the author’s injection of politics in her afterward which ruined for me the sweet afterglow of her story.

...both the story and the narrator had me holding my breath most of the way through. One of the best stories I have ever read. I must compliment the breadth of expression in the narrator’s telling. Her voice is so moving. I will be looking for more books narrated by her and written by this author.

The instant New York Times best-selling memoir from the outspoken former governor - an "explosive" (Guardian) "must read" (Hugh Hewitt) account of Chris Christie's life in politics including his "not to miss" (Entertainment Weekly) insights into Donald Trump. In Let Me Finish, Christie sets the record straight about his tenure as a corruption-fighting prosecutor and a Republican running a Democratic state, as well as what really happened on the 2016 campaign trail and inside Trump Tower.

Well-Done, Governor!
Revisado: 08-05-19
I so wish you had been elected! This story was fast-paced and juicy and needed to be told. It was also frustrating to hear that so much sound advice was not followed. Good writing and great to hear it read in Governor Christy’s emphatic style.

Revisado: 08-18-18
One of the best books I’ve ever read. Shocking and Moving. A deep and tragic story but also, uplifting because there is a vein of acceptance and survival in the people left behind. So many questions were stirred while listening, the biggest one being, How could she? And the ultimate answer was, because she couldn’t help herself.

Haunting and riveting.
Revisado: 06-12-18
The author weaves a truly haunting story populated with believable, multi-dimensional characters who each have layers of complexity and depth. It’s a sad story but hopeful too. I was drawn into this book right from the beginning which is such a gift. You have no idea where it’s going which I loved. I couldn’t stop listening! It’s very well-written and the narration is perfectly-pitched and such a pleasure to listen to. Highly recommend!

Heart-Pounding Read
Revisado: 09-22-17
If you love psychological thrillers, this is a real page-turner and worth your time. Highly recommended for it's taut and emotionally-believable narration of the story. It makes you wonder who is responsible for what and keeps you guessing throughout until the end, which is unexpected but seems believable. Love Lisa Coleman's narration.

Historia
Though Anderson Cooper has always considered himself close to his mother, his intensely busy career as a journalist for CNN and CBS affords him little time to spend with her. After she suffers a brief but serious illness at the age of ninety-one, they resolve to change their relationship by beginning a yearlong conversation unlike any they have ever had before. The result is a correspondence of surprising honesty and depth in which they discuss their lives, the things that matter to them, and what they still want to learn about each other.

My Heart is Full
Revisado: 07-22-16
This touching and honest memoir had me fascinated from the beginning. The blunt openness from both Gloria Vanderbilt and her son, Anderson Cooper was like a message about how to live one's own life...with an open heart, with optimism and with self-determination. It takes courage to tell the story of one's life with this kind of frankness. I want to thank them for a very important conversation, shared with the rest of us.
