Historia
Dessert connects us heart-to-heart like almost nothing else. It brings us together in good times and bad, celebration and solace. Desserts mark big milestones and small wins and create indelible memories of comfort and joy. And Christina Tosi, the founder and CEO of Milk Bar, believes it can save the world.

I needed this
Revisado: 03-19-25
I’m so glad Christina Tosi voiced the book herself. She truly connected and gave me hope about raising my consciousness to a higher level after the many challenging experiences of the past few years. Baking is my happy place and have had to give it up for a time because of illness and downsizing in retirement. She reminded me that there is so much more to life now that I’m well and settled into a new home with the joy of being surrounded by my grandkids who love my baking. Thank you, Christina! From the bottom of my dessert-loving heart.

Answers nagging questions
Revisado: 03-03-25
I’ve seen online videos of Paul Wallis’ findings and views but this is my first time to listen to one of his books. Because he is familiar to me, it was great that he voiced the book himself. He brings together many seemingly disparate pieces of information and makes compelling arguments that make perfect sense to me at this stage of my spiritual journey. Looking forward to seeing more of his books on Audible (in English). 😊

Historia
Michael Pollan, known for his best-selling nonfiction audio, including The Omnivores Dilemma and How to Change Your Mind, conceived and wrote Caffeine: How Caffeine Created the Modern World as an Audible Original. In this controversial and exciting listen, Pollan explores caffeine’s power as the most-used drug in the world - and the only one we give to children (in soda pop) as a treat.

Entertainingly erudite treatise on our drug of choice
Revisado: 07-17-23
I’ve been a fan of Michael Pollan’s other work, in particular when food and beverages are involved. This was a treat of a treatise on what turns out to be an all-encompassing addiction to one specific substance that has defined human affairs since that first sip. I enjoyed hearing the writer read his own words with phrasing, pauses, and emphases as intended.
