Historia
Every year the people of the Protectorate leave a baby as an offering to the witch who lives in the forest. They hope this sacrifice will keep her from terrorizing their town. But the witch in the forest, Xan, is kind and gentle. She shares her home with a wise Swamp Monster named Glerk and a Perfectly Tiny Dragon, Fyrian. Xan rescues the abandoned children and delivers them to welcoming families on the other side of the forest, nourishing the babies with starlight on the journey.

Must hear
Revisado: 03-26-23
This is one of my favorite books. I don’t really like books about magic but this is such a great book. It tells a wonderful story. I have listened to it many times and it just gets better. You notice new things. I know this isn’t a great review but I hope you will listen to this book.
Happy listening!

Historia
Grandmamma loves to tell about witches. Real witches are the most dangerous of all living creatures on earth. There's nothing they hate so much as children, and they work all kinds of terrifying spells to get rid of them. Her grandson listens closely to Grandmamma's stories—but nothing can prepare him for the day he comes face-to-face with The Grand High Witch herself!

Great for kids
Revisado: 02-26-23
I am 12 and really enjoyed this audiobook. The voices were great and I couldn’t stop listening to it. Ronald Dahl is a great story teller and I found myself lost in the story.
One warning I would provide is that some kids might take it too seriously. The book presents facts about witches that some parents might not like their children to hear. I don’t mean that it is inappropriate but that some parents might have a problem with their kids hearing that witches are real.
Overall I loved it was a great performance and story.

Historia
In this long-awaited sequel to the Newbery Medal-winning Julie of the Wolves, Miyax returns to the village she left long before and finds her lost father. But things have changed during her absence. Her father is no longer the man who had lived in grace with the sea and the land. He has forsaken his Eskimo heritage in favor of marriage with a white-American schoolteacher and is determined to shoot the wolves who threaten his caribou - the same wolves who saved Miyax's life.

It made me a little sad because I would think of the first book. I loved how interesting it was. I could not stop listening. I can’t wait for the next one.

Historia
Little Women is recognized as one of the best-loved classic children's stories, transcending the boundaries of time and age, making it as popular with adults as it is with young listeners. The beloved story of the March girls is a classic American feminist novel, reflecting the tension between cultural obligation and artistic and personal freedom.
But which of the four March sisters to love best? For every listener must have their favorite. Independent, tomboyish Jo; delicate, loving Beth; pretty, kind Meg; or precocious and beautiful Amy, the baby of the family?

Overall enjoyed this classic

It was a slow start to get me engaged in this book and I found the voices irritating at the beginning. I’ve never read this book or seen the movie so I had no preconceptions. About halfway through I finally connected with the characters and loved all the hidden truths and wisdoms of life that stand the test of time.
