the book was pretty good however, I prefer to read romance novels about rugged highland warriors instead of refined french architects

good listen! If I had read the book I probably would have felt that the story was a little too wordy. I did enjoy the story, especially the hero and heroine, they both were amazing.

Its a good listen (true love story)
Revisado: 08-01-19
pretty good listen, some parts were slow and could have been left out but overall, nice read, I absolutely loved both the hero and heroine, they actually fell in love. I always enjoy reading love stories that do not include petty fights and silly misunderstands.

Just average/borderline boring
Revisado: 02-07-19
Im not sure what to say, Im still listening to the story while I'm writing this review. The story is rather slow, boring and mundane. I find myself feeling rather tired of the Hero's (Micheal) anger at everyone for something he did to himself. Im still trying to figure out why is he so angry toward the heroine (Penelope). I can understand why he may want revenge on the man that won his inheritance from him (I repeat again won) he did not steal it from Micheal, Micheal was gambling and loss everything but never the less i can understand his anger and wanting revenge on the man whom won everything from him, again I'm not stating taken from him, the proper word is won it from him while gambling. Michaels anger at everyone from his past is unreasonable, it's so friggin tiresome. Im going to stop listening now and pick the book up again on a rainy day, Im done with the story for now.
Fast forward Its raining and I have finished listening to the book. My above opinion has not changed. FYI; Micheal is no longer mad at Penelope, he realizes that he loves her deeply, when did it happen, I have no idea, they live happily ever after. Thank goodness the story is over.

Dark days have come to medieval Scotland, and fierce warrior Robert the Bruce would do anything to release his country from English rule - and not just because he’s the rightful heir to the Scottish throne. As the bloody war rages on, enemies on both sides of the fight surround him, and Robert must dance a dangerous line between truth and deception. One misstep could topple his nation and cost him his life, yet one woman tempts him - and threatens his mission - as no other ever has.

True love story
Revisado: 11-11-18
I really enjoyed this book, it was a true love story, the H&H fought together for a common cause without a lot of tension and misunderstanding that so many so called romance writers call romantic.

It was just OK
Revisado: 10-03-18
It was pretty average, what i liked was that it did not have a lot of fighting between Rebecca and Logan, and not a lot of stupid misunderstandings that some authors constantley include in their books and call it romance. Its not a book that I would listen to a second time but its worth listening too.

very tiresome
Revisado: 11-10-17
what makes a story tiresome to ME (i emphasize me, does not apply to other people, just myself) will only name a few
1. unlikeable hero or heroine (in this case heroine, Mattie)
2. a love story with constant strife or conflict between hero and heroine
3. abuse of a physically handicap person (i know i know, in that time they did not know much about strokes and expressive aphasia) but come on its a romance novel
4. discussing a group of people be it (race, gender, religion, sexual orientation) that will negatively affect the way one feel about that group (i will never look at the word quaker the same)
to be honest listening to the hero trying to form and get words out was mentally draining.
It really could have been a great love story but it had too many negatives and too little positive moments

Historia
Centuries ago Acheron saved the human race by imprisoning an ancient evil bent on absolute destruction. Now that evil has been unleashed and it is out for revenge. As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn't always been on his brother's side. They've spent more centuries going at each other's throats than protecting their backs. Now Styxx has a chance to prove his loyalty to his brother, but only if he's willing to trade his life and future for Acheron's.

Sad!!!!!!!!!!!
Revisado: 10-08-17
Amazing...it takes a very special person to be able to write 145 chapters out of 150 chapter book about child and adult sex and physical abuse, it was a good book but a very very sad story, the people who deserved to be punished like (like the father, the uncle, the sister, they never got their just deserts, they died eventually but they died easy deaths, the uncle should have been tied down in the sahara desert while pigeons slowly picked and dined on his rectum, he was just killed in his sleep. The only reason why i finished the book is that i had to read that styxx finally found some happiness and the suffering had stopped but the ending did not nearly make up for a long long life of pure agony. Hopefully in the near future we can get a good story called styxx and acheron living a happy life as brothers keeping the world intact and protecting beings from the bad gods, demons and other unearthly creatures that are trying to wreak havoc

Historia
Putting a woman on her knees before me is what really makes my cock hard. I f**k with dominant force and absolute control. I demand complete surrender from my conquests. Savage man, loner, warrior... I am dangerous at my core. I have lived amidst the untamed wild of the rainforest, in a society that reveres me and where every woman falls before me in subjugation. Now I've been discovered. Forced to return to a world that I have forgotten about and to a culture that is only vaguely familiar to my senses.

This is a story about nothing
Revisado: 09-22-17
Would you try another book from Sawyer Bennett and/or Kirsten Leigh and Lee Samuels ?
yes
What could Sawyer Bennett have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
develop a plot
What aspect of Kirsten Leigh and Lee Samuels ’s performance would you have changed?
they were ok, the story was the problem
Was Uncivilized worth the listening time?
not really
Any additional comments?
I purchase erotic romance for the sexual context (to be honest), but I also want a story, this book is sex without the story, my goodness, I am going to finish the book but its really taking its toll on me
