Historia
In The Black Swan Taleb outlined a problem, and in Antifragile he offers a definitive solution: how to gain from disorder and chaos while being protected from fragilities and adverse events. For what Taleb calls the "antifragile" is actually beyond the robust, because it benefits from shocks, uncertainty, and stressors, just as human bones get stronger when subjected to stress and tension. The antifragile needs disorder in order to survive and flourish. Taleb stands uncertainty on its head, making it desirable, even necessary, and proposes that things be built in an antifragile manner.

This book spent too much time referencing things that are not helpful or useful. You will get more information watching a YouTube marketing video from Taleb than any info in this book.

Historia
Some of the cruelest deeds of Japan's war in Asia did not occur on the battlefield, but in quiet, antiseptic medical wards in obscure parts of China. Far from front lines and prying eyes, Japanese doctors and their assistants subjected human guinea pigs to gruesome medical experiments in the name of science and Japan's wartime chemical and biological warfare research. Author Hal Gold draws upon a wealth of sources to construct a portrait of the Imperial Japanese Army's most notorious medical unit, giving an overview of its history and detailing its most shocking activities.

This book provide rare historical account
Revisado: 02-17-23
I listened to this book wanting to learn more about unit 731 and I felt like I learned a lot. They interviewed the surgeons and people working in the war and we got to see the views from the Japanese soldiers who are responsible. The victims were referred to as a log, indifferent from something that gets chopped or burned. Apparently, they had no guilt and blamed everything on the glory of their country and their emperor.
If we don’t learn from the lessons of the past, we are doomed to repeat it in the future. The lack of empathy I see from some of the Japanese soldiers make me feel like this could happen anywhere in the world if people are able to justify the cruelty of their actions to an ideal.
Which ideal is important to you and your country and what are you willing to do to innocent people if you were called upon to enact on your duty?

Not for Fact Seeker
Revisado: 11-30-22
I bought thinking the story is based off of what AI can do and written in a non-fiction format. This book is actually heavily fiction and written in a story format. Not helpful for those who wants to seek facts as opposed to hypothetical situations.
