LOVED these books, struggled with the narration
Revisado: 04-16-22
I really do love these books and also the feeling and passion of the narrator. However, there were SO many repeated mispronounced words, I found it a frustrating distraction. Words such as, didn't shouldn't, wouldn't, couldn't...pronounced "dinnint", "shounnint", "wounnint", "counnint". And there is no "x" in the word "especially"...so it should not be pronounced as if there were. I would have loved the narration too, if words had been pronounced correctly. I would encourage this narrator to continue, if correct pronunciations are used going forward.

Awesome story, but just so-so narration
Revisado: 01-30-22
The story held my interest, throughout. Although the narration was basically ok, so many of her voice inflections put emphasis in such strange places, it doesn't even make sense. So, that part was just annoying and made listening something frustrating. Seems like the story should be read...in a way that sounds normal...so the voice inflection and emphasis on specific words...fit with how most people would speak. I can't say I've ever heard anyone else speak this way in normal conversations, or when narrating.

Wonderful story, but...
Revisado: 10-21-21
Although I've loved this author for many years, I do have to agree with other reviews regarding the over-use of the terms 'darling & dear. At first it seemed only a bit of over-kill, but by the middle of the book...I nearly gagged each time the terms were used again! It just doesn't sound at all normal. Who really does that anyway?!? That being said, I still loved the book and thought the narration was OK as well.

Great story, frustrating narration
Revisado: 09-19-21
I love this author and her stories. However, it's frustrating to hear so many mispronounced words and emphasize placed on the wrong words...making the entire sentence sound incongruous. Otherwise, I would have given LeAnn Pashina a higher rating, along with Misty M. Beller for the overall.

Amazing team of Author & Narrator
Revisado: 05-23-21
As always, Lauraine Snelling shines bright, with the continuing saga of this family who walks through both struggle and blessing, with fervent faith in God. Stina Nielsen is such a fantastic narrator, who's performance draws you into the story with ease.

Great story, strongly dislike narrator
Revisado: 04-26-21
If I didn’t love this author and especially the entire series of stories, I wouldn’t have listened at all. Most of this narrator’s “character voices” sounded more like bad cartoon voices, than the strong characters developed by the author. His efforts nearly ruined the story for me. Between the awful voices and far too many mispronounced words… listening was painful at best.

Historia
Karol Truman provides a comprehensive and enlightening resource for getting in touch with unresolved feelings which, she explains, can distort not only happiness but also health and well-being. Leaving no emotion unnamed, and in fact listing around 750 labels for feelings, Truman helps identify problem areas, and offers a "script" to help process the feelings, replacing the negative feeling with a new, positive outlook.

Loved the continuing saga, but very disappointed with the nearly monotone presentation by this narrator. Other books by this author have had narrators with much more skill.
