Aprendí mucho. Lo único malo de este libro es que no es infinito. Y la voz de la autora es bellisima

Historia
Cheese puffs. Coffee. Sunscreen. Vapes. George Zaidan reveals what will kill you, what won’t, and why - explained with high-octane hilarity, hysterical hijinks, and other things that don’t begin with the letter H. Ingredients offers the perspective of a chemist on the stuff we eat, drink, inhale, and smear on ourselves. Apart from the burning question of whether you should eat that Cheeto, Zaidan explores a range of topics.

It makes you distinguish between science as a broad term and the scientific method, or that not all science is created equally.

Historia
Like many doctors and nutrition experts, bestselling author Dr. Steven Gundry has long endorsed the ketogenic diet—a style of eating that heavily restricts carbohydrate intake to make the body burn fat for fuel. Because ketosis offers a variety of health benefits, including weight loss, reduced risk of illness, and enhanced energy, Dr. Gundry believed his patients’ efforts to adhere to the challenging regimen was worthwhile. That is, until his research uncovered a shocking truth: We’ve gotten keto all wrong.

FAD diet book
Revisado: 04-26-22
I don't like any diet that satanizes groups of food. What I liked about this book: It explains why the traditional keto diet is not a good diet in the long term (in spite of the massive weight loss it triggers in some people, weight is not everything), and gives you evidence as to why you DO need to consume carbohydrates. What I dislike about it?
The fear of lectins, which are anti-nutrients,which are known to cause leaky gut and, specifically the phytohaemagglutinin, which can cause coagulation problems. He says you should absolutely avoid them, when the research has shown us that cooking or sprouting inactivates most lectins, and also, we have enzimes that do so. Very few people should avoid lectins containing foods like people with underlying digestive sensitivity. For the rest of us, the evidence is clear, a diet containing a variety of nuts, seeds and legumes is associated with longevity and health.
This book tought me some stuff but overall is still a fad diet book.
