Historia
This 40-day devotional from Brian "Head" Welch, former lead guitarist of Korn and the New York Times best-selling author of Save Me From Myself, is an intimate tour through the Bible passages that have meant the most to him on his trying journey from substance abuse to salvation. Save Me From Myself, Welch's self-effacing story his against addiction and his reawakening to divine love, has made the metal band icon into a hero of Christian rock.

Brian's Joy
Revisado: 02-08-25
This book is a dailey devotional, but unlike others I have read. Every day Brian used scripture and a life's experience of what the Lord God has done to transform his life. I believe by sharing his experiences over the years is testament to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit of God's saving grace, His love and His mercy. I look forward to reading more from Brian 'Head' Welch and pray God uses him mightily for His kingdom.

Classic Writing
Revisado: 01-13-25
AW Tower writes a comprehensive view of what it means to seek God and follow Him in our Christian walk. Jesus said to follow Him, not the religiosity of the secular world. Tozer illustrates the true meaning for the Christian believer of being in the world but not of the world. Which is something many of us struggle with. The world is like sticky fly paper that seems impossible to free our selves from. Learning to fly above the sticky traps without getting stuck in the mire of worldly pursuits is a life long learning lesson. AW Tozer understood it and his book , The Pursuit Of God, brings understanding to what Jesus meant when He told His followers to follow Him and to not be of the world. A challenge every Christian must come to terms with.

Historia
One of the most remarkable novels of the Holocaust ever written, Jakob the Liar is a tale of everyday heroism and the extraordinary power of illusion. Set in an unnamed German-occupied ghetto, the story centers on an unlikely hero, Jakob Heym, who accidentally overhears news of vital importance: The Russians are advancing on a city 300 miles away. As Jakob's tidings rekindle hope and the promise of liberation, he feels compelled to elaborate. Forming a protective bond with a young orphan girl, Jakob becomes caught in his own web of optimistic lies.

I understand Jacobs reason for lying about the radio. Hope. Those people needed hope... even though it was hopeless. 😢
