The companionship of pets is a blessing. Learning and growing through your extended "fur family" -- those whom we have hand-picked to do life with us -- can be a healing and inspiring journey for ALL involved.

Disclaimer: I'm much more of a "dog dude" than a cat person, but I was fully inspired by Tamara's fur family's journey. The fact that she hand-picked (rescued from shelters!) three senior cats with three unknown histories set the stage. And just because they were hand-picked clearly didn't mean that they didn't come with baggage and challenges to overcome ...just like all of us who have lived a bit of life. Her detail of the unveiling of those histories, and the healing process to create a "forever home" for them can be a template for all of us to follow far beyond just our furry friends. Unveiling more with each new chapter all the way through end-of-life.

Tamara takes us on a journey of how unpacking, embracing and addressing that "baggage" as a family can be a beacon of life-giving light to all involved -- the trust, love, time, patience and clarity that is called for / created in the course of that journey. It is a journey that I highly recommend you take, ESPECIALLY if you are a cat person ...but even if not, I'm sure you will enjoy, and benefit from, the voyage.
