Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

I am still listening to the book and on the last part but the story has already made me forget everything. I find myself listening to the book every idle moment that I can spare. Roy Dotrice has done a wonderful job as a narrater. Voice of Tyrian is the best I like. Excellent characters.. Excellent plot and Excellent narrator. This is a must read. I have alreay bought rest of the series available.

This book is excellent. The author has done an excellent job to avoid making the book an autobiography. I admire the courage of the deep see divers and the tenacity with which they sought the truth about the sunken sub.

Long Book but worth the listen
Revisado: 03-05-05
This books takes your through the ancient egypt and takes you through personal journey of an egyptian physian. At times, I felt that unnecessary details are in the book but It may have been necessary to acclaim the reader/listener to the ancient times. The author does a good job of recapping the crualty, emotions, segragation etc.. of old times. Overall, good book.

Historia
The world of ancient Egypt springs magnificently to life in this astonishing historical novel of love, war, political intrigue, and religious revolution. Told from the first person point of view, it is the story of Sinuhe, physician to the royal court of Pharaoh Amenhotep III and his successors in the middle of the tumultuous 14th century B.C.

Disappointing at best..
Revisado: 01-05-05
The only reason that I am giving this book 3 stars is that it has managed to peak my interest into the whole thing of Noah's Ark and where it is today. The book is poorly written and attemps to preach at times... It's not what you are looking for in this book. I think that book 1 was much better than this. I hope that future installments will focus on the plot more than preaching.

Good Book but not one of the best by Nelson DeMile
Revisado: 12-24-04
This book has a good story but it develops a bit slowly. Probably better off listening to this book in abridged format then unabridged.I felt that a lot of details could have been skipped and the ending was so so... As I said, it a good book but not one of the best by Nelson DeMile

Historia
Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six. They were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry was thirty-one. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future.

Fantastic
Revisado: 12-24-04
This book is well worth your time. The story is truely amazing. This is a must read or listen book. The only one thing that I didn't like about this book in audio format is all the years the story goes back and forth. It's almost better to read this book so that you can quickly refer to the entire timeline of the book. Excellent all around.

A good audiobook ..Not a great book
Revisado: 12-24-04
I agree with what rest of the reviewers are saying that this book is far from captivating considering the main topic of the plot. Perhaps,Tim Lahey got caught in developing a series more than developing a good book. I guess one has to read all the books in the series to truely judge if the entire plot and the composition was worth it or no.

Awesom plot and excellent narration
Revisado: 12-24-04
This book is an audiobook listener's delight. The plot is captivating and the narrator is excellent. The one thing I liked about the plot is the fact that the main characters in the book are common folks like us. Often you read a book where the main characters is depicted to have this uncommon abilities and can do things rest of us can't do. Steve Berry has done an excellent job of keeping the character honest and keeping Miles a common man who happens to get caught unknowingly in Tsar mess. Only one thing that I felt that Steve Berry lacked is to properly develop romance between the characters. He used cheesy lines like "you can kiss me now".But other than that, I truely enjoyed the book.

This book is written really well. I see a lot of similarity to the LOTR but the story is unique. The book takes you through a journey of a young boy and from annonymity to fame & glory. Really fascinating. I am anxiously awaiting the rest of the books in the series.
