Solid and entertaining story
Revisado: 06-02-15
I enjoy listening to Ron McLarty and I don't mind at all the sound effects and the addition of a female voice - in fact I find it more realistic. As always, I'm listening to these books when I run so I'm looking for a story that isn't too difficult to follow, a voice that doesn't grate on my and something I can focus on other than my knees!!!
I'm really enjoying all the King & Mitchell books and will finish the series off.

Historia
Sometimes a man can be redeemed. But not in the way he expects. Jason Stafford is a former Wall Street hotshot who made some bad moves, paid the price with two years in prison, and is now trying to put his life back together. He’s unemployable, until an investment firm asks him to look into possible problems left by a junior trader who died recently in an accident. What he discovers is big - there are problems, all right, the kind that get you killed. But it’s not his only concern. Stafford has another quest as well: to reclaim his five-year-old son, "the Kid", from his unstable ex-wife, and then learn just what it means to make a life with him.

Good pace and excellent narration
Revisado: 05-11-14
I have never heard of the author before, or indeed the title so this was something of a risk for me but I wasn't disappointed. I listen to my books whilst I'm running so the stories I choose must keep my attention and not let my mind wander and this one certainly did.

Nail biting story and brilliant narration
Revisado: 09-10-12
I found the first book in the series quite difficult to get into, but once I did I was hooked and am now in the middle of Book 4. I like the fact that the main character, Simon Serrailler is quite socially awkward and has many contradictions, and but most of all I think the narration is the one of the best I've heard. Steven Pacey is excellent and the story moves quickly through many twists and turns.
This is a great audio to run to and I've found this last week I've gone a km or more out of my way to keep listening. Would definitely recommend.

Historia
Michael Robotham's Suspect, hailed as "a lightning-paced debut" by Entertainment Weekly, was an international best seller that raised the bar for thrillers. Now two characters from that acclaimed novel, Detective Vincent Ruiz and psychologist Joe O'Loughlin, return for the electrifying Lost. When Detective Ruiz is pulled from the Thames, he has a bullet in his leg, a photograph of a missing (and presumed dead) girl in his pocket, and absolutely no memory of what happened.

Great story, difficult to follow narration
Revisado: 08-15-12
Having listened to Shattered and thought it the best audible book I had listened to so far I was eager to start at the beginning of the series. To be honest I found the narration very one dimensional with no real distinction between the characters.
I listen to my books whilst running and normally I can switch off and concentrate on a story for up to an hour - with many audible books I actually keep running until the end of the chapter just because I don't want to wait til the next run to hear what happens. I was so disappointed with this one I couldn't finish the book - next time I will listen to the sample before downloading.

Same old
Revisado: 08-10-12
Having listened to the first Gray Man book and read the second I had high hopes for the third, but was disappointed with the story line - a bit "same old, same old" and try too hard for my liking.
